The setting is an old Victorian home which has been renovated into a sleek, almost minimalist, restauranrt decor. Not too fancy, not too casual, but in-between and just right for sophisticated, yet earthy, Woodstock. We celebrated Mother's Day a few days late with a lovely week day dinner. The 3 course menu was worth the $31 price tag. There were suitable choices for many different tastes and portions were generous. The pizza, which came as one of the appetizer choices, had an extremely thin crust with very fresh, delicate-tasting toppings. Another appetizer which was on the regular menu was also light, fresh and very tasty - - - a combination of shrimps, basil, white beans and grape tomatoes. I dusted it with lots of salt, pepper and parmesan cheese to add another layer of flavor. My husband chose the risotto with scallops and asparagus for his main course. He declared it satisfying comfort food. I chose the BLT Ceasar salad as my main course - - - a perfect combo of bacon, parmesan shavings, croutons and salad ingredients. The menu has so many tantalizing choices that we will have to go back several times to try everything. Service was friendly, concerned and eager to please. There are tables on the front veranda, so we will be sure to make the next visit on a warm evening, ao we can enjoy the summer ambiance.
