The Retreat at Tree Gap is wonderful. My husband and I went up to Woodstock for one night and stayed at Tree Gap. It is located a few minutes away from the main village, in an extremely quiet and peaceful area. Megan, the owner, is kind and so accommodating. The house is amazing and beautifully decorated, making it so cozy and warm. The breakfast was wonderful as well. Megan gave us a menu of many choices and was able to accommodate my dietary preferences. The food was delicious and fresh, and Megan presents it all so well with lovely dishes, linens, and serveware. Needless to say, we did not want to leave and are planning on returning as soon as we can!

We stayed at TreeGap at the end of a long honeymoon spent traveling by bike and sleeping in tents. The two nights we spent at the B&B was sort of our treat to ourselves at the end, and it was the best part of the whole trip - in every way, it exceeded our expectations.

The larger room was beyond belief, even more beautiful than the pictures give the impression; the land around the house adds to the rustic off-the-beaten path feel; the breakfast was delicious; and the overall project of the house (to become a sustainable B&B) is really something rare that it is nice to contribute to (feel free to ask the innkeeper about it, she's super interesting to talk to!).

And of course there's Woodstock too, always a nice place to visit.

Seriously, we had a fantastic stay, we're thinking of returning for our anniversary. Our only complaint? That we had to bike up the hill that leads out of town to get there, but I don't think that's realy their fault...
