“Fake fancy with mediocre food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2012

This restaurant is steps away from the very nice Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury. It is beautiful outside with a nice courtyard and a pretty side yard for weddings. However, the food left quite a lot to be desired. For example, the caesar salad was prepared tableside, but it was drowned in dressing. The entrees came with pre-chosen vegetables, which were oily, and mashed potatoes with an aftertaste. I had duck, which was good, also finished tableside with great flourish. We had salad and coffee with entrees but no appetizers, dessert or liquor. The check came to $65 before tip. I would not go back unless I was staying at Fox Hollow and had no car (and no option).

“Not worth the price. Stay at the hotel and get the free dinner buffet or eat somewhere else.”

Love this hotel so I was super excited to try the restaurant. What a disappointment. Beyond the intimately beautiful interior the restaurant is very overpriced. Some of the worst calamari I've had (very greasy and the fish wasn't so good) and the pasta with meat sauce was terrible. At the price we paid, I would expect homemade sauce, this tasted like a jar of ragu.

The same chef cooks for the hotel buffet and that food is usually really good, so I'm hoping I caught them on an off night.
