The architecture design and interior renovation of the house are the best and warmest as well as the breakfast . The pancake with banana and scramble eggs are so specially homemade to start a delightful day in snowy mountains .

We love every detail inside the house including the kitchen shown to us. We wish to stay a few more days next trip!

We where at the b&b for the weekend and it was terrible. The front desk person was rude and not friendly. the only friendly faces were in the morning at the breakfast, they were delightful and very helpful

We supposed to get a room with capacity 3 person, as per our reservation and rate paid (I specifically made a phone call before our arrival to make sure about the room accommodation), and at our arrival we did find that the room had only a King bed .
When we asked the frond desk person why we don't have another bed as per room description, he just went in the closet and pulled a rollaway bed and gave it to us to set it up. So, we supposed to figure how to set that bad in a small room where we barely moved around. Apparently, as per their suggestion we should have the rollaway bed in the exit hallway which has about the same size as the width of the bed (I think this is definitely illegal and against FIRE safety regulation to block the only exit of the room).
Another problem is that our room supposed to have a little coffee table next to the armchair as per their website picture showed(not good advertising) and when we nicely asked the frond desk person that we really are missing that table in order to set up the laptop or have something to eat late in the night, his answer, very rood was - "you are not supposed to eat in the room and I don't now where could be that table, maybe in repair or in the basement room" - without trying to accommodate this situation , without apologizing for the inconvenience as I would do.
I personally work with people, and I know that customer service is the mother of success, I personally do everything possible going above and beyond to make them happy in driving my business. I think that at Albergo Allegria I found the most rude, unprofessional person who doesn't even try to communicate with the owners or supervisors taking decisions on his own.

Unfortunately because our late arrival and our late in the day requests, we had to deal with only one and the same person who doesn't provide a great picture for the location.
There are many other things that I didn't like about the location , unpaneled window and door which make the room very cold in the night, the heating barely keep up to worm the room and the note from the front door saying that the breakfast staff is not included..... however is a Bed $ Breakfast accommodation...

Unfortunately after two nights of staying at the B&B, sleeping three people in the same bad with no comfort, no condition for what we paid, no table for coffee or little sandwich we had to leave in the middle of our trip giving up the third night which definitely was charged from our account. We had a late check out and we definitely will never go back to this location. I personally cried because our weekend was messed up,

Dear Guest,

I do wish your stay would have been more typical of those who have reviewed us in the past and agree with you that customer service is the mother of success.

We could have provided exemplary service, if we had only been aware that there was a problem. Saturday and Sunday morning’s staff, including on-site owners whom you spoke with each day, would have done whatever was needed to make your stay comfortable including adding, removing, or rearranging furniture in your guest room. We wish you would have brought it to our attention. It is regrettable that you waited until late on the third day of your stay to disclose your dissatisfaction. Your family enjoyed full breakfast each morning and fresh baked goods at afternoon tea, where you had ample opportunity to communicate your issues with the room.

The staff member who showed you to your room late on Friday evening unfortunately did not write down your laptop table request for the morning personnel to address, for this we offered our sincerest apologies and a substantial bill adjustment. Placing a reserved roll-away cot in a guest’s room is implemented upon check in and to avoid miscommunication about what is in a room a written room description of each room is provided on our website and a detailed description of the room reserved is provided in the email confirmation each guest receives.

After adjusting your bill and trying our best to rectify your concerns that Sunday evening, you clearly communicated (noting you were taken by surprise) that your spouse had already made up his mind to leave. His schedule of having to work the next morning was not something within our control. However, if he would have informed us on Sunday morning, we could have re-rented your room and there would not have been a charge for that night.

We evaluate every review to see if we can improve our hospitality and services, however, your refusal to pay for your entire weekend causes us to question the veracity of your claims.

The beauty of TripAdvisor is that guests can post candid reviews of their lodging experience; we are determined to learn and grow from this incident and pursue excellence in hospitality.

Warmest regards,
Marianna Leman

This place was absolutely phenomenal in every way. We stayed in one of the beautiful private lodges and felt like we were in a vacation home. The owners and staff were accommodating and super friendly. Breakfast was catered to guest, ranging from eggs to pancakes, cereal to fruit & yogurt. Nothing better than after a long day of skiing and snow boarding than coming back and warming up by a fireplace. Or soaking in the Jacuzzi tub. We would definitely recommend staying here! Great restaurants close by for dinner was a major plus!

Room Tip: we didn't stay in the mainhouse we opted for private lodge and we were glad. In private house i...

We (my boyfriend and I) have now stayed at Albergo 3-4 times and we have loved it every time. We stayed a few times in the summer and once in the winter (we just got home two days ago). When we arrived, it was "tea time"--hot cookies, baked goods and various teas were available to us (self serve). The staff members here were friendly and welcoming and the food they made for breakfast was fresh and delicious. We have stayed at a few bed and breakfasts before and we both agree that Albergo does the best job at keeping a very high quality, customer oriented business (run like a hotel) while also maintaining the quaint vibe of a B&B. We highly recommend this lovely spot!!!

My wife and I spent two days to celebrate our anniversary at this outstanding inn. At every turn we were surprised by the high quality…starting with a room upgrade (with hot tub and fireplace) to acknowledge my veteran status. When we slept in the next morning and "missed" breakfast, we were greeted a half hour after "closing" with fresh muffins, homemade granola, yoghurt, fresh fruit, and a fresh pot of coffee made for us. A special treat was getting to know the owner and her daughter who spent time getting to know us as well. Our room (actually a separate "cottage") and the main inn were extremely comfortable and attractively decorated. The mattress in the king bed was good quality (i.e. no back ache). The area offers good restaurants (Brandywine is a must), hiking and views. An overarching feeling we had was that the inn's employees genuinely enjoyed making us feel welcome and never made us feel we were "putting them out" with a request. We strongly recommend this inn and hope to return soon.

Wonderful bed and breakfast nestled in the mountains. Beautiful main living room with fire place, games, and places to read. Food was excellent. We stayed in the master room, which was very spacious; the cathedral ceilings make it feel even bigger. Room had a very nice fireplace and amazing over-sized whirlpool tub. Very romantic and reasonable for a weekend getaway.

Room Tip: I would certainly recommend the master suite as it gives you most room for the money.

We recently stayed here last weekend, traveling from NYC. We wanted to go upstate for a relaxing, decompressing weekend and this was the perfect B&B. I've stayed in many B&B's in the past and this has to be the most inviting and hospitable ever! From the check in, to the DVD's, they just thought of anyway to make our experience perfect. I absolutely loved the array of teas and the access to the kitchen for snacks. Breakfast was amazing!!! Rooms we're clean and spacious. A must stay, will be back whenever I visit the Catskills again.
