At the Catskill Lodge in Windham NY, we had a choice of rooms and chose a very nice room with a private entrance. The combination living/bed room was nicely appointed; the sofa, chair, and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was slightly cramped. It contained a clawfoot tub which was modified to add the possibility of showering. Not exactly my ideal, but I did sign up for the room knowing the situation. Breakfast was standard fare for a B&B but was quite adequate and nicely cooked. The hostess was efficient, perhaps evenly overly so. Since that is a strange statement from someone who generally admires efficiency, perhaps another sentence may be helpful. I wish the hostess had interacted a bit more with the guests rather than so overtly ensuring that the "business" aspects of running the Lodge were cared for. (Hence, the "almost great".) She did recommend eating and hiking choices which we found useful.

Though it wasn't the nicest B&B I've ever stayed it, I found the Catskill Lodge to be friendly & charming, in a great location/atmosphere and I would gladly stay there again. Price was reasonable too!

We recently stayed 2 nights at this quaint bed and breakfast. The Queen Anne style home is registered as a National Historic place and dates back to the turn of the 20th. century or before. The hosts, Mike and Kellee went out of their way to make us feel at home. For example, when I told them I needed to make a couple of phone calls and I could not get cell phone reception, they allowed me to use their land line. Guests had the use of a refrigerator to store any perishable items and there was a Kurig coffee maker available 24/7 to prepare coffee or hot tea. The full breakfast was delicious and ample. The area is filled with plenty of things to do and there are restaurants, shops, a laundromat and even a movie theater close by. Wifii is available for guests, as well. All in all it's an excellent value for the price.

We found this lovely B&B online when we needed a last minute relaxing escape from the city. We stayed in the suite on the 3rd floor and it was huge! The sitting room overlooking the mountains was amazing, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and a summer breeze. Kellee and Mike were so hospitable and had a delicious breakfast for us each morning. Breakfast the first morning was with 3 other couples and it was great meeting new people and sharing stories before we all headed our separate ways for the day. We enjoyed lunch at the nearby North-South lake followed by a horseback ride at Rough Riders Ranch! We loved the lodge and can't wait to return throughout the year!

My partner and I recently stayed at the Catskill lodge and we couldn't have been happier. The innkeepers Kellee and Mike are a joy to be around and keep the house immaculate. Being innkeepers ourselves, we can be critical of other bed and breakfast. However, we have nothing to complain about with our stay. We stayed in the Deleware room which features a outside entrance, fireplace, TV/DVD player and a large room with a separate sitting area and a cute private bathroom. If you are ever in the Windham area for skiing of hiking you must give Catskill Lodge a call!

My boyfriend and I came to the lodge for a quick end of week vacation and had a great time! The first night we had the entire house to ourselves. We sat in the salon and played checkers, watched movies and enjoyed each others company over wine. In the morning the inn-keepers, Mike and Kellee, made us a delicious breakfast of pancakes and eggs. The following night we shared the house with three other guests, but it was still quite and intimate. In addition to the lovely house and amenities, the area is gorgeous. Just a short ride/hike away is a beautiful waterfall, rivers, and Hudson valley vistas. It was a perfect retreat from NY. We intend to return again and again.

Room Tip: We slept in the Huntsman Suite. Its small and shares a bathroom with one other room. When we stayed...

My partner and I stayed at the Catskills Lodge for two nights in June 2012 while we were in teh area for a wedding. We had a great experience. We were in the Catskill Suite which is extremely spacious. Kellee and Mike, the managers of the lodge, are very friendly hospitable. The accomodations are comfortable and clean. It's located in a lovely area central to many of the area's attractions. I'd definitely stay there again and I'd galdy reccomend it to friends.

Room Tip: Couples lookign for a lot of space, families or budget concious groups should consider "The Cat...
