“Perfect place to stay, beautiful area of NY!”

We rented the house for a weekend of fossil hunting! The house was everything we needed! Comfy beds, plenty of room for the five of us! My mother, gramma, two cousins, and I had a wonderful time visiting the area. Wish we could have stayed longer. We also enjoyed the massage chair!

We stayed at the Copper Kettle Motel and Cottages for the second time, during our annual trek to the Grey Fox bluegrass festival. It's so nice and the inn keepers are the best! It's a quaint rustic set up with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast is on the house and the pool is crystal clear and so refreshing after a long day in the sun. We've stayed at other B&B, resorts and motels in the general area, but wont look any further than this spot for our return trip. Happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet spot to spend the night, weekend or longer.

Great place to stay and enjoy all the nearby attractions.. Close to cool hiking spots and great restaurants.. Our hostess Lisa was more than gracious and made us feel at home..
We enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool and their great variety of beers..
We'll definitely be coming back to this little gem!!

Our group of 5 stayed for three nights during the Mountain Jam Festival. Don and Lisa are amazing innkeepers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back next year! Thanks Don and Lisa for being such marvelous people!

This was our first visit to the Copper Kettle. We travel to Windham each Memorial Day weekend for a barn dance. In the past we had stayed at The Hideaway. The Hideaway closed this year, however, so we needed a new place to stay. From the various choices we had, we selected the Copper Kettle, and we are glad we did. It isn't a Four Seasons, or even a Holiday Inn Express, but it does not claim to be. (And, thankfully, it is not The Hideaway which, though run by a wonderful woman, really did need to close.) What it does purport to offer are clean, basic accommodations at a reasonable price, and that is delivered and more. Nothing real fancy, but the bedding matched, the lighting was good (no 40 watt bulbs that other properities of this nature install), sufficient electrical outlets, the requisite bathroom amenities, and freshly painted walls with an appropriate picture or two. The breakfast was very good, and the breakfast room was charmng. I only wish we had seen the bar in action, but by the time we returned from the barn dance we went straight to bed. Lisa and Don couldn't be nicer, and they are giving it all they've got to create a fantastic place to stay. They made it through the flood and a snowless winter, and I'm betting they will succeed big-time when all is said and done. Now if they can only find a way to get wireless internet into the rooms . . . .

Third visit to the Copper Kettle found some new renovations. Room #11 has been redone, the white washed paneling is now an awesome gray color, carpet has been replaced by wood flooring. Nice that the owners Don and Lisa kept the rustic feel of the rooms but did upgrades. The main lodge now hosts a beer and wine bar. Speaking of Don and Lisa..... what genuine, wonderful, caring people. While there Don even managed to head out early in the morning for a few hours of fly fishing with my boyfriend while Lisa held down the fort at the cottages. These folks go above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. I even witnessed Don dig through the dumpster for a youngster who had lost his football, and retrive a whiffle ball from the pool. All I can say is "don't judge a book by it's cover" this is an awesome little rustic hideaway owned by honest, caring, family oriented folks. Great place, great value, great owners! Wishing Don and Lisa nothing but continued success.

Room Tip: Call and speak directly to Lisa. Tell her what you want. You won't be sorry. If you need some...
