Needed a place to stay for one night & choose this hotel. Couldn't have been more pleased.
The staff was welcoming and great help with places to see around them. Location is great for a mountain getaway.

After a long drive, what pleasure to follow the long curve down the hill from the busy road, and to imagine that you've arrived at a lovely chalet in Austria or Switzerland! The beauty and wonderful experience in a place like Hotel Vienna is in all they provide: the spacious--and surprisingly elegantly furnished--rooms, the balconies with huge doors to let the fresh air bathe the room while you sleep, the delicious aroma of croissants baked on the premises wafting up as you're ready to enjoy a traditional breakfast served in European Alps. Filled with energy to walk into Windham, then to the Mountain, and still back to the hotel, I then spent an hour swimming in the pool and relaxing in the whirlpool. You may not train here for the next summer Olympics, but you still can have a great day exercising just around the hotel. Do check out the write-up at the hotel site and more reviews provided by happy visitors to Hotel Vienna, as I don't want to repeat them here, but this happy traveler and her hubby will be returning soon and again. Dining around the hotel was an extended pleasure at Vesuvio, minutes from the hotel, and at Chicken Run, minutes from the Mountain. Don't hesitate, Rick and Amy, your hosts, will take great care of you!
Stayed at Hotel Vienna for a couple of nights. For a hotel, it's the best bet in the area. Room size was better than most other hotels. Bed very comfortable. The best part of it all was that the hotel and room were VERY clean. Also for the price, you can't go wrong. The employees and Rick do care about your stay. The breakfast was OK, but come on it's included (if it's free, it's for me). The coffee was superb. I would stay there again with no hesitation.
This place is a quiet slice of peace in the mountains. Clean, comfortable, large rooms, jacuzzi, great, open air indoor pool and deck, and a balcony over looking the mountains. The owner, Rick, is a great guy, attentive, knowledgeable and non intrusive. He really makes you feel like a guest.......I would recommend for a quiet weekend during the summer months. We haven't yet been there during the fall or winter, but will probably go back for a few nights to get away from the city.....
Made the mistake of staying again, as wanted to go hiking in the area and choices for accommodation are limited. Again poor breakfast and this time the place was really noisy, so not a great night's sleep. Front desk were very helpful so giving a 2 star. Again, paid $155 plus tax for what is basically a motel. Never again.
My Husband and I spent 2 nights at the Hotel Vienna-- we went there.because I had purchased a voucher from "Living Social" and it turned out to be way better than my expectations. The room we had was very large, beautifully appointed, with lovely furniture, bed linens and draperies. It had a king size bed and 1 day bed and a fridge. It also had a balcony which overlooked fields and mountains. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room-- beautifully arranged in a basket with nice wine glasses. The grounds were extensive and very well kept--with several areas for sitting outside-- including one complete with hammock! The pool was in a separate building-- which had floor to ceiling windows with screens, so that one had the feeling of being almost outdoors, yet it was protected from the weather. There was also a hot tup in the same building. A continental breakfast was provided in a very nice room-- which had a fireplace( not in use in July) and had sliding glass doors--again overlooking fields and mountains. The hotel makes it's own croissants, fresh every day-- and they were perfect. Breakfast also included fresh fruit, granola, other cereals, a variety of yogurts, breads, jam, tea, coffeee and more. Everything was immaculate ( as was the entire hotel) and the food was continuously replenished The staff could not have been more helpful--giving us information about area restaurants and even calling them to check on daily specials and hours of operation, etc. We would definitely recommend this Hotel and want to return soon.
