This is a fairly new restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the food is good, the live music is entertaining seated in a perfect location of the restaurant. The potential is so much bigger than what the owners are achieving. There was a group of us, we were going for a late dinner and drinks with good friends. When we first arrived, there was no one there to seat us. They definitely have more room for seating in the bar area and on the patio, where they should put a few tables of 6; as they most are for 2, 3 or 4. When we asked someone about being seated, they were too busy chatting with a local and literally watched us seat ourselves. We ordered pizzas and poutine. If you are from Canada, you are well aware of poutine, it is a classic! Well, you just don't take the name poutine and put it on the menu when it isn't poutine! Whatever we received was okay, a little watery on the gravy, but it was not poutine. If this establishment can work out a few of the kinks between customer service and more seating; they can do very well and more of their patrons will be happy for it!

I'm so thrilled to see a new , current brewery in Wilson. We have many friends that drive from Wheatfield & North Tonawanda to come to Wilson for pizza and beer now. We love it!The atmosphere is fun and we love to try new beer. The owners did such a great job with the building.

We visited the restaurant a few days ago expecting to be offered a full service menu with sandwiches, entrees and pizza (as their website advertised). Instead we were given a trifold laminated menu with limited appetizers, pizza and wings only. We were told that they could only cook with the wood fire brick ovens and could not offer a full service menu because the food was taking too long to come out. So in other words, they couldn't find cooks who were adept enough to cook with the brick ovens. (Who opens restaurants with only brick ovens in the first place?). Anyways we decided on a Margharita pizza and two house salads. House salad way overpriced... 7.00 dollars for a small bowl of salad greens with tomato and onion. Pizza was ok, nothing special. Should have been crispier and less burnt. I was expecting a wide variety of beer choices for a brewery. Wrong again! There was a little card on the table with about 8 choices of beer (2 they didn't have anymore). And this just a few days after their "Grand Opening"....hmmmm
Anyway, overall I would not drive out to Wilson again for the experience. Maybe if you live in Wilson there is not a variety of pizzerias or restaurants that offer beer so you will come here. But being from Niagara Falls, there are way too many better restaurants with huge beer selection (The Brickyard in Lewiston - whole blackboard full list of beer) or pizza (pretty much on every street corner) and you will not have to break the bank to eat at any of them. On the plus side the service was good and attentive.

Saturday, May 25, 2013 was Woodcock's grand opening. The place was rocking! Very busy, but only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Three of us split Poutine (frites, onions, gravy & cheese) - it was delish! We also split a greek pizza - thin crust and loaded with great toppings! They had live music and it was a great evening!

I will start out by saying I will definitely be back - I see on previous reviews poor reports on the food. Our table of four had no complaints about the food, although the service was on the slow side. We didn't have anywhere to be so we didn't mind, but another time I may have been annoyed. The best aspect is their ambience, beautifully decorated and appointed restaurant.
