We stayed at the North Pole in on 24-26 August, 2012 and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accomadating throughout the whole weekend. We opened the door to our room and were pleasantly surpirsed with the knotty pine walls and log furniture. The room was great...had no unpleasant odos like other hotels tend to have and the bathroom was very well kept up. Every detail was made to make the room feel like a log home. The property was equally as nice. 2 pools that we took advantage of. They were kept locked but phones were nearby and a guard was there very quickly to let us in. The kids had a blast in the rec rom and the trail to the Ausable River was short but nice. If you like rustic gifts and tee shirts...it's a great place to stop...even if you don't stay there. They even have a huge line of local beers to mix and match...more brands than can be named. I would recommend this place to anyone (although I would love to keep it to myself so that rooms are always available for our return). Thanks for a great weekend!! :-) The Simpsons
