We stayed here while we were skiing at nearby Whiteface Mountain. I had read the reviews before I booked and I can only say I agree with everything people have said. The owners are very friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the area over breakfast. The room we had was nicely furnished and very clean. When we were there the temperatures dipped to -26 degrees Celsius but the room was always warm. It was especially nice to return to a warm room after a days skiing. As we were out skiing most of the day we were mainly looking for somewhere to sleep. I don't think we could have made a better choice, I would certainly return if I was in the area again.

Neat and clean with a pleasant outside appearance too. Close to Santas workshop and skiing attractions and the owner and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The toiletries were great, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker in room, no actual coffee however and scarce cups for drinking coffee out of. The person who answered the phone found us a cell phone charger on very short notice.
On the down side Our toilet and sink backed up. Ouch, never good

We have been traveling to the Adirondacks for over 20 years. We've in many places over the years. Until...we found Alpine Country Inn & Suites or Our home in the Dacks! Went to book a room at another hotel that was booked so we asked for a recommendation for somewhere else in the area. They sent us to the Alpine. We could not have been more pleased. Bill & Judy are two of the hardest working, personable, and helpful people we know. They have always gone the extra mile to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Hot cinnamon coffee in the morning. Bill asks what your plans are for the day and recommends anything he can to make it even better. He knows all the good out the way places (local secrets). Rooms are spotless and well decorated. Grounds are always well maintained, swing set, pool, shuffle board, basketball hoop, grill and picnic tables are there for your enjoyment. At night weather permitting Bill or Judy make a campfire for their guests (a favorite for my wife and I). One of our favorite aspects of the Alpine is their only 15 miles to Lake Placid and all of the High Peaks but you don't get the overcrowding and overpriced of the town. Try them and you won't be sorry or disappointed.

On a spur of the moment trip, we booked two nights at the Alpine. What a fantastic choice it was! The rooms were just perfect! They were very nice, clean, and well maintained. We didn't go to the area to stay in the room the entire weekend, just perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring! The owner builds a lovely campfire but we didn't get to take part because we were just exhausted! There is a nice play area for the kids and plenty of outdoor seating. The owner was extremely friendly and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. The location is perfect, right by the entrance to the Memorial Highway and just a few minutes of driving to Lake Placid. We will definitely return! I wonder if the owner would give us standing reservations?! We will be back soon!

This motel is everything you expect in the Adirondacks. The outside is log with cute cabin accents. Inside our suite was spacious. We had the Alpine Suite. Cute red Adirondack chairs outside where we enjoyed our complimentary coffee. Bill, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. Will be back again!
