Excellent food carefully prepared by Chef Dave. Nice selection of specials featuring local produce.
Pleasant surroundings adjacent to the old Mill Pond on the Bouquet River. Lychee nuts in season! A shortage of wait staff precluded a fifth star, but that may have been temporary.

Where the owner is the head chef & many of the exquisite dishes include local or sustainably harvested ingredients. A meal at the Turtle is sure to please!

Upscale fine dining in a small town. Have eaten there many times and have NEVER been disappointed. Only for special occasions since prices are also upscale, but recent menu additions offer more reasonable choices, too.

Ok its not a five star restaurant but for what they have to offer its good and sometimes very good.. Lunch specials are the best deal as diners tend to be a bit pricy but with good flavors..staff are nice. Consistency is the hallmark of a great location... Our experience has not always been the same there but always leaves us saying " that was a good meal"

I have visited this restaurant three times in three weeks and can't wait to go back again. We live about a 30 minute drive from this restaurant and we used to dine there frequently several years ago. I am not sure why we stopped going, but I know for sure we will not let that happen again! They use produce from the local farmers and the fish is flown in directly from sustainable wild fisheries. It is the freshest, tastiest fish that I have discovered in this area. We have brought several couples with us on many occasions and everyone has been pleased with their food from the Kobe beef to the halibut. What a jewel of a place and so close to home!
The cafe is small, in fact many years ago it was a pharmacy and some of the antiques are still found in the decor. Don't expect a fancy cafe, but do expect wonderful food.
