“The best value for your buck!”
Reviewed March 13, 2009

I had an early flight out of Buffalo on March 6, so I booked this motel to stay overnight on the 5th and avoid the early drive in the AM the following day.

When I reserved the room I was leery on the low cost - 40/night (tax inc.) - and how the room would be for so cheap. Upon arrival I was shocked. The front desk was quick and helpful, and the whole entrance area was clean and looked welcoming. The room was a small, no nonsense, short stay kind of room. BUT it was clean, VERY comfortable (big fluffy pillows and soft beds), and cutely decorated.

It didn't have an airport shuttle, however, it's only a 5 minute drive to the airport so a taxi would suffice. It also didn't have the "continental breakfast", but they did have hot fresh coffee - which is personally all I usually get from those sweet filled continental spreads! I would recommend this place for anyone who isn't spending a lot of time in Buffalo. For one or two nights it's perfect!!

I had 5 rooms in 1 hours! This hotel is completly unacceptable. I have never had such bad service before. They should find a differnet business. Messy, dirty and foul is the only thing they can commit to too.

My girlfriend and me checked in for a non smoking king size bedroom. When we came to the room, the room was still occupied by a guest. So we went down and asked for another room. This room then was dirty. The floor was not vacuumed and the bed was made with the old linen from the guest before. We´ve found fingernails and hair on the carpet and in the bed. Though we have asked for a non smoking room there was an ashtray with butts and ashes on the table. So we went down to the reception and asked for another room. And it came even worse. The room that we ´ve got then was in outside room. The outside hallway to the room was covered with 1 foot of snow, nobody shovelled the snow of the way. So we had to drag the baggage through the snow and when we opened the door to the room a big load of snow fell right onto the carpet into the room. That was not acceptable. Finally we`ve got a 2 double bed bedroom inside. The housekeeping and service at the desk was lazy like hell. They ignored us and preferred talking private stuff than doing their job. This motel is also advertised with free wireless internet, but actually they charge you 2,99.-$ a day. There is no airport shuttle. I can´ t recommend this Motel 6 and will never come back again.

Having stayed at the Fairfield in the past, and, as senior ladies, had enjoyed its' cleanliness, & breakfast, we hoped that the Motel 6 would be comparable. Not so. We were in a ground floor room, outside entrance at the back.
There was no shampoo, kleenex or telephone book. The mattresses were saggy . We had booked for 2 nights; housekeeping on the 2nd day was nil--beds unmade, garbage not emptied.
The bathroom showed evidence of mildew, human hair in the bath/shower and a shower curtain that needed replacing.
A dusty odour permeated the room when the heater was turned on; cigarette smoke from noisy people outside the room floated into our room until a phone call at 1:30 a.m. to the front desk ended the voices, and constant door banging.
Motel 6's cheaper rate is no excuse for sloppy housekeeping.

You can't get that excited about a Motel 6. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated, I must say. Beds were pretty comfortable too. There was renovation in the lobby but this didn't bother us much. There wasn't any noise or anything to wake us up. The area that this hotel is in is pretty nice for food and such. Across the street is a restaurant called Protocol which is pricey, but worth the splurge. Amazing chocolate cake. Also there is a Cracker Barrel next to the Motel 6, which is really good for breakfast. Had a lot of cheap options too.

I didn't see the pool, so I can't comment. The only amenities in the room were bars of hand soap, which was annoying since I hadn't brought shampoo, thinking that they would be in the room. But you can't beat the price--$56.00. Plus, they allowed pets, which was important for us since we were moving from the West Coast to the East Coast with our two cats. No pet fee or anything, which you've got to love, as a pet owner. I would stay here again, if I was driving through Buffalo and if my funds were as limited as they are now.

We stayed at the Motel 6 overnight before an early morning flight out of Buffalo Niagara International airport. We had attempted to book a hotel that offered a park and fly package, but the rates were outrageous - it was cheaper to book the motel separately and pay for parking at the airport using a 10% off coupon located on the airport website.

I booked online at a rate of US$51.99 per night for a King Sized non-smoking room. My only complaint is that when we checked-in, we had a room with two double beds instead - not a big deal as we were there for one night only, and were leaving early in the morning.

The room was clean and well-appointed for a motel room, the beds were surprisingly comfortable and our 5:00 am wake-up call was right on time.

I wouldn't want to stay here for a week long vacation, but for an overnight stay when you have to catch an early morning flight, the room and rate were perfect,.
