This is one of my favorite restaurants! It also is such a unique way to eat dinner so its a great idea for a date. Korean BBQ is just what it sounds like. You can get pork, chicken, or beef. I usually get beef and chicken. You can either just order it and have them serve it to you, or get one of the 3 or 4 tables with the BBQ right in the middle of the table!! They bring out the raw meat and you cook it yourself, then place the meat on a giant lettuce leaf with rice, raw garlic, green pepper and a little bit of this AMAZING red bean paste that they make right there that is just totally incredible but addicting. Then you roll it up like a burrito and chow down. With your meal you get a bunch of sides that are unlimited like rice, a bean sprout soup, and of course.....kimchi. The homeade kimchi is really good too and they have it in all kids of varieties like cucumber and radish. But the sides tend to change depending on time of year and what they have. Now the parts that aren't so nice. It is a good restaurant, and I would go more but it is crazy expensive for no reason at all. Even soft drinks can set you back more than 5 dollars. The entrees depending on what you get are just borderline outrageous for the amount that they give you. That is what bothers me most about this place is the cost of things that should not be that much at all. Also, this place seems to be family owned and most of them are friendly and nice, but there is an older heavy set Korean women that works sometimes who acts.....well, mean! Every time you ask for more of something like rice or kimchi she acts like you are taking food out of her baby's mouth or something. And she will give you smaller and smaller portions the more you ask for things. And she expects MORE than a 20% tip!!! But everyone else there is very, very nice and one time the older gentlemen gave me a HUGE container of the bean paste to go because he knew how much I loved it and took it as a compliment. That is how most of them are, just avoid the older heavy set lady. But overall it is a great restaurant, with truly amazing food, and a really fun, unique experience that you just can't get anywhere else in the area! After you go the first time, you will want to go back......after the price shock wears off and you miss the taste of the food.

Actually go to the Woo Chon (Korea House) all the time, as we drive from Pennsylvania just to go for the food. Unlike the last review which claimed this was the only Korean restaurant on town, there are quite a few of them in the Greater Buffalo area. The food is very good, the prices are fair and the atmosphere is quiet. If you go, try the hot squid dish.

We went there with 5 of my Korean students and had a wonderful dining experience. The service was friendly, atmosphere cozy, and food excellent. We are certain to go back again.
