We usually travel to either Grove City Pa or Frankenmuth Ma for our twice yearly shopping trips to the states. Fortunately for us we couldn't find a hotel in either area for the dates we wanted and decided to go to Buffalo instead. Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel was recommended to us by two of our friends so we gave it a try. What a pleasant surprise, this hotel is modeled on a hotel right out of Italy, is it gaudy, very much so but it is all part of the ambiance that makes Salvatore's a great place to stay in Western New York. The room was large and clean and included a king size bed and a love seat. The breakfast was more than ample and included a hot and cold buffet. The breakfast area was modeled on an Italian cafe complete with street lamps, colorful decorations and life like waiters. The price for the room was more than reasonable for what was supplied. They provided Shuttle service to their restaurant about a quarter of a mile down the street.
If you are taking flights out of the Buffalo airport you can stay the night at Salvatore's and leave your car in their parking lot.
All in all it was a great experience and we will stay again

My husband and I were on our way back to Riverview, MI after several days in Rhode Island and a day in Massachusetts. In Rhode Island we stayed at the Biltmore in downtown Providence - it was ok, but very very pricey - i.e. $26 a day to just park the car of the hotel guests; service was just ok; restaurant prices were off the charts). So, in stopping in Williamsville at Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel, we were blown away - the friendly service, the reasonable price of the room, the room service food, the gorgeous, unique surroundings (we took tons of pictures inside and out) was a very pleasant surprise from other hotels we have stayed at. Coming from the historic Biltmore in downtown Providence we were not expecting anything close - especially considering the price difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the neat breakfast in the morning, and the friendliness of the staff. We already put that in our phones with all the info to make sure we stop there again! To me, it's a 5 star!!!

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor - which I think had been recently remodeled - the room was spacious, quiet, and beds, etc. very very comfortable. We called in advance (2 days) to make our reservation and that and the fact it was a Sunday that we stopped probably helped the good price we got!

An odd yet enjoyable experience. The decorating is wonderfully gotti and overdone, and they have an amazing fish tank near the entrance that we spent at least an hour watching. Room was nice and fairly standard with the added bonus of having a large jetted tub. We actually only booked a standard room without the tub but were pleasantly surprised. Lovely for a unique romantic overnight.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. It has so much more character than the usual chain hotel! The breakfast area is set-up like an outdoor Italian street cafe, and there are all sorts of interesting artistic pieces decorating the hallways and other common areas. Our room was one of the rooms on the second floor overlooking the breakfast area. I thought that might create a noise problem in the morning, but there was no problem at all.

As others have pointed out, much of the decor might be characterized as chintzy Vegas or 70's Poconos, but once you know what you are getting it's all fun to look at! The breakfast was nothing special, but definitely equal to what you will find at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. If you shop around the online travel sites you most likely will find that you can stay here for less! We're glad we did.

We had a few minor concerns. The shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower were incorrectly marked, and we were missing a hair dryer. However, that did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay. We'll be back the next time we are in the area.

I decided to take my wife to Salvatores for our Anniversary in April, knowing the hotel from the past I was sure to have a very enjoyable weekend. They did not disappoint us for one second. Our room was upgraded without us knowing to a much fancier room that was a bonus. The reception was fantastic, very prompt and polite. Our visit included a meal coupon with the Restaurant which we always enjoyed. The atmosphere is absolutely great and with our meal we were lucky to arrive when the entertainment was to begin, that was another bonus. Our food was received with a reasonable time and very well presented. It was also interesting to watch not to far from us some people having their meal done right at their table, it was quite interesting to hear to comments because the cook was making a huge fire in his frying pan with wine. More entertainment! Our plans were to go shopping the next day at the Galleria Mall which we both enjoy as well. Thanks Salvatore for a great day.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor a much nicer. The location is very close to the Airport and Shopping.
