Traveled with my boyfriend Jan 21 - 22, 2012. What a great hotel! Such amazing decorations and the breakfast was great the next day. Bar staff was super friendly (two girls working Sat the 21st). The other hotel had "live music" so a few of us younger folk (20's) went but it was classical, but it wasn't our scene. But it was a free shuttle ride! The hotel room was clean and the jacuzzi was great. The bathroom even has heated fans. 10 minutes from Walden Galeria. I will be staying here every time I stay in the Buffalo region. :)

Holy cow!!! What a hotel for the price!! If you can get past possibly the gaudiest statues, marble and bad Italian furniture you will find the nicest rooms in town with some of the best staff I've met. The price makes it an amazing value!

I was very nervous after booking this hotel as we normally stay at the Marriott. We booked this for an overnight for a shopping trip. The price was reasonable ($130) for a double queen room. The hotel main areas were nice (albeit a little tacky), but the rooms were very dated (80s decor), but not in a run down way -- just dated. The rooms were clean and the sheets were decent quality, but the pillows were horrible. The pillows were small and very hard! There were a lot of mirrors in the room -- the one whole wall, the whole sink area and halfway up the bathroom area. The shower was on the tad cool side, but I like a very hot shower. The shower area was a little odd, with half a shower curtain and half glass wall. The breakfast the next morning had a lot of choices.

We initially stayed here right after our wedding about 10 years after it opened, and it was great. Very reasonably priced for a honeymoon suite, with all the accouterments you could want, jacuzzi tub, large shower, etc. The decor is very over the top, but that's clearly by design. (The faux balconies in the "central courtyard", complete with the mannequins, is very camp). And frankly, the faux columns and mirrored paneling is a nice touch for a newlywed couple. We've been back a couple of times, but on this most recent trip in Dec 2011, it was beginning to show its age. The digital shower controls (which are a great when they work) don't always work, and some of the paint has worn off the tubs. The room was also a bit musty. Don't get me wrong, it was very clean, but it's really beginning to show its age (which is coming up on 15 years). I hope they do a renovation soon, because I'd love to go back there again in the future. They do have a very well appointed free breakfast, including bagels, pastries, cereal (hot and cold), juice, coffee/tea/cocoa, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit, and hot entrees such as sausages, french toast sticks, etc. The value is quite good (especially if you're used to Boston or New York prices, and it's by far the nicest of the hotels in the Transit Rd area.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the rear of the hotel have less glare from the parking lot lights. The second floor is...

Now let's keep in mind that buffalo does not have any 4* hotels. It's was clean but green carpet screams of needing up date. It was reasonable priced and it had breakfast. It's one of the better hotels in the area. The decor was 80's American/ Italian but was kind of fun.

For the fifth year running we held our Christmas getaway and shopping spree at the Garden Place Hotel. The rooms are abundantly spacious and are well appointed. We always have a room looking out over the indoor courtyard. The front desk girls are fantastic and do everything in their power to ensure you have a great stay. We have the weekend Dinner package that includes our evening meals at Salvatore's Restaurant, which is a fantastic place to visit. The only down side to the hotel is no pool. But the hotel makes up for it in other ways. We will carry on returning to the Garden Place to receive the hospitality given by Mr Salvatore. Our rooms are already booked for the sixth year. Roll on Dec 2012.

I'm biased because I'm a hometown kid but I love this place. Elegantly appointed jacuzzi suites. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The hotel may sem over the top to some but I think they just do it big there and I love it! The hotel has classic cars lined in the parking lot, which adds a nice touch.

The hotels is also linked to a restaurant, which is an amazing Italian place that prepares some of the best steak dishes I've ever had. This place is a gem. The hotel also chaufers you to the restaurant in the vintage cars, which is a great experience.

The hotel/restaurant package deals are great bargains.

Room Tip: Get a package deal that incorporates dinner from Salvatore's. You will not be disappointed!
