The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cleanliness has some room for improvement. The sheets appeared to still be dirty and hairs in the bathroom. Breakfast was average with typical LaQuinta items.

Our family of five stayed here for three nights in two rooms. This place is small and it seems they don't have a permanent maintenance person that can fix plumbing, electrical, and other handyman type of issues. The other staff was not bad. Breakfast was pretty good once they fixed the waffle maker. I had requested non feather pillows on the reservation and they had them all set. The beds were actually pretty comfortable. The location is close to the Thruway. Now for the bad stuff. One room had a terrible smell. The hotel staff had become accustomed to it and they called it "chlorine" but I think they may have meant bleach because there is no pool here. My guess is that it was a combination of mold or sewage being over powered with some sort of chemical cleaner. No alternate room was available. They also don't have adjoining rooms with multiple beds so not as convenient for a family like ours. They did manage to get us two rooms next to each other and since the doors would not close themselves, it was easy to move between them. The other room didn't smell, but it was still pretty dirty. If I walked on the carpet before getting in the shower, it was pretty obvious that they are not vacuuming. The bathroom was terrible. The toilet didn't flush right so I checked the tank to see if I could fix it. So much mold in there. Flushing hardware desperately needed to be replaced. Someone replaced the line into the toilet and left the store tag on there. The shower head was so loose I was afraid it would pop out of the wall. There was no tub wall to prevent water from getting onto the bathroom floor from the shower and no drain in the floor so water just sits there until you sop it up. The fan in the bathroom was silent but that was because it was not doing anything. Had to leave the door open and make the whole room musty just to breathe. Mold and grime all over the bottom portion of the shower enclosure. If you spent any time looking for it, you would find dirt on just about anything in the room. They need to clean the rooms a lot better and those cleaners need to alert maintenance people to problems so they can be fixed.

This location was ok in appearance but once we got in bed the sheets felt like sandpaper! They were obviously used MANY times. The grouting around the bathroom sink was coming off.
We weren't given the opportunity to share this at the desk as we waited 5 minutes to check out and once someone came we were told very matter of fact, That we would "need to wait a few more minutes". She was restocking the breakfast bar. After another several minutes we could no longer wait and left the key. It was obvious they needed more staff for a busy Saturday morning in August.

Government rate, and free night made this a great value, food and location were great for us. Our toilet leaked and was fixed immediately, good service...........

We traveled from Canada with 2 small kids and we travel often, staying at various hotels, resorts and villas. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at in North America. Towels were dirty; tub appeared to not have been cleaned after the previous guest; carpet was not vacuumed; sheets were stained! Rather disgusting. Never again will we stay here and/or at its brand. We would rate La Quinta a 0/5. Horrible!
