“Yummy!!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

We ordered a regular margarita pizza which was super delicious. We also ordered the seafood pizza which was also good but very saucy. Decent prices although a bit expensive for pizza but quite worth it. They greet you with pizza and small salami and tomato bites and some bread which is unusual for most restaurants but this was yummy.

“Great Saturday night getaway”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Had passed by this one plenty of times, decided to give it a try based on reviews and recommendations from friends. Made a reservation (it was pretty busy) for 7:00, and was promptly seated. Loved the thin crust pizza and bruschetta they place at the table instead of the same old bread. Very nice and attentive waiter, who when announcing the specials also gives you the price of the special! Very much appreciated having been $urprised a few times when ordering a special. It was a little slow to begin with, having to nudge someone for the soup. But it came shortly thereafter, with apologies, and after that the evening flowed perfectly with excellent food, desserts, and coffees. Prices are not bad - two soups, entrees (one special), three glasses of wine, two desserts and cappuccinos for under $90.00 (look for coupons). Loved the atmosphere - we were in the side room, but still cozy and not ignored. Will definitely go back, and have added it to one of our favorite restaurants.

“Ok, but not more than that.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

We chose this local restaurant in part because it was on the American Airlines list of restaurants that give points toward air travel. In spite of several decent reviews I found the food to be only so-so. New York has terrific restaurants over-all. You can walk into almost any one of them and find really good food. Not so Villaggio. It wasn't more than OK and some of the standard Italian dishes were somewhat different (though not better) than in the many other Italian places I've been to. To top it off, when we got the bill and asked to have AA miles counted, no one in the place knew anything about their participation in this program. I had to spend one half hour or more with the AA website and telephone to get our bill credited.

“Best in the Neighborhood”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. I love that before you order they bring you a basket full of cut up homemade thin slice pizza for you to munch on. Service is very quick. There are usually 3-4 specials every night. My favorite dish there is the chicken del sindaco.

“Excellent Italian”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

I eat here 3-4 times a year when visiting relatives in Queens. They start you off with freshly baked slices of thin crust pizza and bruschetta with thinly sliced salami. Chicken and fish dishes are generously portioned, and the menu is very diverse, offering standards for the cautious palate and unique combinations for the more adventurous eater. Pasta dishes feature huge portions which is goo because you will want to take the leftovers. I've also been impressed with the service which is provided by a small army of waitstaff who are always steps away to help without seeming like they are stalking you. If you enjoy Italian food and you're in this area, check out Villagio.
