Scored a pretty good rate on Priceline for a weekend stay. The just renovated lobby is really nice, we loved all the books sitting around that were actually readable and not just decorative.
That being said, the restaurant takes up the bulk of the lobby so there is limited seating space in the lobby. Loved the design though. The pool and fitness center could use an update, which they are getting soon. We requested a quiet room in the new wing, which put us at the end of the "long hallway." Our room was recently renovated and pleasant, if bland and unremarkable. We appreciated the wonderful towels and Aveda products. The hallways, though, were dark, dated, and dirty. The carpets had many specks and clumps, pieces of stuff, etc. Some of the light fixtures were worn or missing, which gives the hotel and uncared for look. The stairs also had a funky smell and stained carpeting. All of these things were a little off putting for us, and for a hotel which clearly cares about keeping up to date. Also some additional security by the guestroom entrance would be appreciated, anyone and everyone can walk right in!
