My husband and I stayed at this hotel for over 60 days while we were in temporary living after moving to this area from Minnesota. The staff was just great! They always said hello when they saw us walking by the front desk and even learned our names. Beverly always greeted us every morning when we came down for breakfast and asked us how we were doing, making sure everything was going well. Jason at the front desk was awesome! He even gave us a recommendation for a pediatrician since we are expecting our first child in a couple months.

The location is great. It's within walking distance to lots of restaurants, a mall, Starbucks, the post office, etc. It's also really close to a super nice mall and close to several parkways and 287.We used their same day dry-cleaning service several times. The parking is very convenient. We also had our dog with us the whole time and they were so great with her. When we would call for service when it was convenient for us (with the dog) they would come right up. They also provide dinner every Monday-Thursday night which is nice when you get tired of eating out every night. The room we got was on a corner and very spacious. The rooms also have all the dishes/utensils you need to live for a couple months. We didn't make food in the room very often, but it was nice to have the option. There's also a dishwasher if you do use the dishes.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The staff is really the best. We weren't looking forward to staying in a hotel for this long, but it hasn't even felt that long. We definitely didn't have this sort of experience in the last extended stay hotel we stayed at during our previous move and we're very thankful all they did to make us feel comfortable.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have lots of space! Feels like a one bedroom apartment.

Stayed here for 2 nights on business. Suite was very roomy with separate bedroom and living area. Comfey bed. Good work area, easy plugs for electronics, adjustable height desk chair. Wish the desk phone had a speaker.

Nicely appointed rooms with some signs of aging, eg spots on sofa, minor damage on kitchen baseboard, but generally well kept and clean. Plenty of dishes, silverware, etc. Wish coffee cups were mug size instead of shot-glass size.

Staff to a person were very nice and helpful, which gave this hotel a rating of 4 rather than 3. Breakfast was good -- lots of fruit, pot of oatmeal, waffle batter/griddle, and assortment of usual breakfast fare, eg, bacon, eggs. Cookies available in afternoon, coffee/tea 24/7. Also a managers reception nightly during the week with appetizers, but did not have time to go.

Lots of restaurants, shops within an easy walk. Self parking is $10/day. TIP: get a SMALL rental car, parking is tight.
Don't forget to TIP THE PERSON WHO CLEANS YOUR ROOM!!!

An older hotel but the commons area has been nicely updated recently, much nicer than my previous stays. This includes the dining area, which got a great facelift. I have stayed here several times and the rooms are generally large, clean, with comfortable beds, etc . I always seem to be able to work at this hotel, as the rooms are quiet and the desk space is well lighted. Staff is generally good here but the last trip they were great. Breakfast is generally quite good, Only negatives; the previously free parking is now $10 a night, and $18 for valet service. There is good security in the parking garage, but the floor ramps are narrow and parking spaces are tight. The Internet was slow. Recommended.

Have stayed at this Residence Inn on three occasions when visitng NYC for sporting events or concerts. We've been pleased each time. It's a typical Residence Inn; better than many in the chain.

Short 10-minute walk to the MTA station and a quick (express) or not-so-quick (milk run) train trip into Grand Central. No question, you should stay in Manhattan for the full NYC experience, but after doing that a few times and if you're looking for an alternative for a comparatively-quiet, nightly escape from the madness, then consider White Plains as your base. Especially if driving in from New England or Eastern Canada. We've even stayed in WP when flying in and out of Newark.

Arrived late on a Sunday night. Was greeted by super friendly desk clerk, Robert. When I asked for a quiet room, he upgraded me to an executive suite. He catered to my every need and called a few minutes after I had checked in to make sure everything was ok. Room was clean and well appointed. Would certainly stay there again.
