“Wonderful and Relaxing Stay”
Reviewed August 11, 2010

This is about my 8th stay within the last year at this hotel and I always enjoy my stay.

The lobby is very small and intimate and gleams with beautiful marble. The lobby lounge is a nice place to unwind, have a cocktail or a small bite to each. The breakfast there is always enjoyable.

Rooms are quite luxurious and offer many of the amenities one would come to expect in such a luxury hotel. Coffee makers w/coffee & tea, DVD players, mini bar, Ritz Carlton magazines, luxurious marble bathroom with separate shower stall and tub, dual sinks, separate water closet. Note, the hotel recently removed the electronic function to drapes and are now opened/closed manually. I am a huge fan of the electronic drapes but many times, the system they had didn't function properly. I also noticed that the speakers in the bathroom ( you can listen to the TV while in bathroom) weren't working. Not sure if this feature is no longer offered.

The gym is pretty comprehensive and the SPA is very nice. Only improvement would be for the SPA to offer additional amenities in the locker rooms such as tooth brush/shaving kits/laundry bags. They will provide these items but you must ask.

On my most recent visit the hotel definitely stepped up to the plate and lived up to Ritz Carlton standards. Over the last few months Ritz Carlton stopped offering Bvlgari amenities, being a frequent guest at this hotel, the staff knows how much I enjoy those products. When I got up to my room, I noticed a few bottles of Bvlgari in the bathroom. Remembering guest preferences is so important and they delivered. It was also nice to get upgraded to a larger room. The layout and view were perfect. All employees were very friendly & professional.

Special recognition should definitely be given to Gary the doorman & bell service. Not only does he do his job well but he has the perfect personality and he's one of the only employees that's been at the hotel since my first visit. I really can't find any major faults. The only improvement I would suggest is including
a scale in the bathroom
shaving/dental kits in suites
bring back the Bvlgari products to instill the RC luxury brand
bring back the house car-there's no excuse for not having this

I can't wait to return. Oh and while the hotel warmly welcomes children, please leave them at home. We adults go here for a quiet and relaxing getaway and it's not fair to have the disturbance of little ones all over the place.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-furnished. The staff is outstanding. If you have business in White Plains, the location of the hotel could not be better. The hotel restauraunt -- BLT -- is superb. All around, this property is perfect for business travelers.

I just returned from spending the weekend at the Ritz Carlton Westchester. This is my fourth stay at the property and it just keeps getting better. I had some special requests and they were able to accommodate everything seamlessly. A "Special Thanks" to Kevin in Guest Services and Kevin the Bellman for being so gracious and remembering all of the requests when I arrived. Everyone was great!

Each stay has always exceeded my expectations. I'm already booking my stay for Labor Day weekend and Holiday shopping!

I took my beautiful wife to the Ritz Carlton Westchester for our Anniversary. Upon arrival, the valet came right up to us energetically and our bags were wisked from the trunk and brought inside to the reception area. Thank you Oscar and Kevin. The lobby was nice and check in was smooth and friendly. We had an executive suite on the 5th floor. The room was gorgeous. A living area with large flat screen tv gave way to a desk area and finally the bedroom area which also had a large flat screen tv and a king sized bed. The bathroom was simply beautiful. Ritz Carlton really does an amazing job with their bathrooms. The granite tiles, the woodwork, the fixtures, the gorgeous deep soaking tub and the separate shower area were a feast for the senses. The suite was 800 sq. ft of luxury. We relaxed for few hours and then had a couples massage at the Spa. Thank you Alex for handling that scheduling mix-up professionally and energetically. Thank you Elizabeth and Lillian for a wonderful massage. We dressed for dinner and called for the car which was efficiently brought around in a timely manner. We had dinner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns which was about 20 minutes away. Dinner was amazing in every way. After dinner, we returned to the hotel and the bed was extremely comfortable. The next morning, we had breakfast in the lobby. The decor of the lobby was lovely and the soft chairs were comfortable as we enjoyed our leisuely breakfast. Check out was warm and gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ritz Carlton Westchester.

This was our second year "staycation" at the Ritz. While the hotel room was great, the carpet could have used another rendez-vous with the vacuum. Not cool when you're spending $400/night to see lint... Sadly, the Bulgari bath products that I had been so looking forward to were missing and generic "Ritz" brand in their place. Boo! The biggest offense however, is the FOOD. Two thumbs down for the room service!! The actual service itself was wonderful but other than the french fries, our meals were sub-par. Slapping sliced tomato on top of what could have been a freezer or nasty Dominos pizza does NOT make it "Margherita". There is no wines by the glass list either. Charging $45 for a 1/2 bottle of less than stellar champs, well shame on me for buying it!

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, but this will become one of my favourites.
After a terrible night a the Residence Inn (see my review at that hotel), this was a relief.
Great big, quiet room with a very nice bed. Huge bathroom and perfect service very well located to the shopping centers (and office which I had to visit).
The only complain I can think of is that the internet is not free. I still don't know why a lot of 5 star hotels do not provide this service for free.
