“Fantastic Cabins, cozy yet roomy and very clean!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2011

We spent a memorable weekend together enjoying all the area had to offer. Besides the fantastic Bark Shed cabin we stayed in for 2 autumn nights, this Cabin and the B&B are central to several of the wonders of the area. We were just a short drive to Ausible Chasm, Lake George, Saranac Lake, Gore Mountain, Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. All of which we were able to visit on our 2 day excursion. After our long days of exploring the area we came "home" to ready made beds, plenty of blankets, towels and wood for our indoor fireplace. The cabins have baseboard heat incase your not into building a fire. It was a damp weekend for our visit but that didn't put a damper on our plans. We would do it over again rain or shine. Proof is in the cabin design, wonderful woodwork and cozy yet roomy atmosphere of the cabin that Mike and Nina really take pride in their Cabins and Inn. Our experience was pleasant from booking the cabin to our goodbyes. Oh, if you live West or looking for a lovely fall drive during your visit, stop by Cooperstown. That was another added bonus of our trip. Just a little over 2 hours from Dillon Hill. Dillon Hill B&B Cabins was a stop in the right direction. We will recommend and visit this B&B again.

Room Tip: Bark Shed Cabin, everything you need included, just bring the food.

My husband and I and another couple booked a weekend at the Dillon Hill Inn this year. It was a last minute trip that we get but once a year these days, if we are lucky. We are very picky and were not disappointed by anything at this B&B. Mike & Nina were the kindest and most thoughtful Innkeepers we have ever met, and that is saying a lot. Their two dogs, T-Bone and Dillon (named after the Street), were adorable to watch. They did not enter the B&B part of the house and they did not bark. They simply added to the cozy & home-like ambience of it all. Their cat had a similar role. Our rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious and surrounded by windows overlooking the immaculately maintained gardens. All of the rooms and common rooms in the house had a beautiful rustic decor. Nina's breakfasts were absolutely delightful and she even went above and beyond to meet my dietary needs without spoiling anything for the other guests. They were very helpful in choosing restaurants for lunch and dinner as well. On our second night, we were exhausted from a long day of riding so we ordered in and Mike fired up the campfire for all of the guests. The amount of stars were incredible and it was a lovely evening. Mike and Nina treated us like old friends and we hope to be just that one day. They are very special people and we are happy to have met them. We will definitely be back whenever possible.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Tannery but they all seemed to be equally decorated.

This was my husband and I first Bed and Breakfast experience. Mike and Nina and their two hound dogs were wonderful, service was outstanding and that their hospitality went beyond expectations. The area was nice and quiet and it was nice to get away from the big city lights for a weekend. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful that I had to get her pancake recipe. The rooms and the entire house were very clean and it felt very nice and cozy. We had a nice fire one night and roasted marshmallows. I will definitely be going back!

The Dillon Hill Inn was an excellent stay on our summer tour of Quebec and the Adirondacks. The Inn was very beautiful, and you can see that Nina and Mike put their best skills into it. The rooms were excellent, and we wanted for nothing. After a great nights sleep, way off the beaten path, it was so quiet, and so dark, we could see all the stars in the sky. It's nice being away from the glow of the suburbs back home. We could see the milky way, as the band moved across the sky. The breakfast the next more was overwhelming. Fresh home made bread, and everything cooked to perfection. We'll be recommending it to all our friends.
An Outstanding Time !

Room Tip: We were in the Artist Room, with really inspiring paintings. She is an excellent artist.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Dillon Hill Inn B&B and we already can't wait to go back! Mike and Nina were very welcoming and made us feel immediately at home. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. The common areas were lovely, especially the screened porch and the piano room. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, just what we needed before a full day of hiking/kayaking!

My sister and I had a weekend getaway at the Bark Shed cabin at Dillon Hill and we both agreed it was a great place to stay. Mike and Nina were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the good advice on beautiful quiet lakes to kayak, away from the crowds. The cabin was very clean, very comfortable, nicely decorated and would be great for 2 couples as well with its 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The bedrooms afford lots of privacy, being on opposite sides of the central living area with its comfy furniture and adequately equipped kitchenette. We were fortunate enough to be there during a weekend of gorgeous weather so spent most of our cabin time outdoors on the porch, and eating at the picnic table on the expansive lawn. Although it got quite warm during the day it was always cool inside the cabin - great for sleeping! The grounds are beautifully landscaped and great for strolling and admiring the numerous flower gardens and unique outbuildings. There is plenty to do in the area as well including whitewater rafting, tubing, kayaking, hiking, and Mike and Nina are more than happy to make good recommendations so you can get the most from your time. It's a beautiful area and we would not hesitate to stay again at Dillon Hill.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Dillon Hill Inn for two nights and we loved it! The inn is is both modern and rustic with beautiful woodwork, so it is the perfect place for an Adirondack vacation. The owners, Mike and Nina, keep it amazingly clean and tastefully decorated. They were also nice enough to give us a free room upgrade. We loved our room and it was perfect for relaxing. On the first floor there is also a TV room, a living room, a screened-in porch, and outdoor porch, and the yard and landscaping are also beautiful. It really makes you feel at home. In the dining room you can also get coffee, tea, and cookies. The best part may be the breakfasts... Nina is an amazing cook and made what were probably the best breakfasts I've ever had. The inn is also close to many area attractions. It's only about a 10 minute drive to hiking and horseback riding, and a 20 minute drive to Lake George Village. Mike and Nina were very helpful and let us borrow hiking guidebooks and even called the horseback riding place to find out what times we could go. I would definitely recommend the Dillon Hill Inn to anyone who is planning a vacation in the area!
