Busy, with a full bar wiith an NFL championship game on the TV sets. Noisy. Seated five (5) of us immediately. Cheery server. Fast arrival of our drinks order and our food order. Everything was acceptable except for the Alamo Burger (bbq sauce, bacon, fried onion and choice of cheese) which was exceptional... generous and delicious, for me it's worth a return trip!

On the downside, the wooden seats are uncomfortable and the benches only less so. Given the somewhat limited menu (available on-line), it's a bit of a mystery why the place is listed as a "Mexican restaurant."

Not worthy spending too much time writing about it.
My girlfriend and I were there a couple of weeks ago, randomly picked up for lunch. We sat outside, great weather but the view was limited to the main street being completely dug out for some major work, not this restaurant fault.
The service was very good, the waiter very nice and attentive, the food mediocre at best, one combo, chicken sandwich and a cup of soup, and 2 separates, a chicken sandwich and a cup of soup, very small!, 2 bottles of water and a very minuscule glass of wine. With tip, around $70.00. Not even close of being worth that.
$4,50 for a small bottle of water? $11.00 for no ore than just a sip of no name Sauvignon Blanc? $18.00 for a chicken sandwich and $7.00 for a tiny cup of soup? And sitting at a no frills table with no tablecloth and paper napkins? C'mon folks, the mark up should have some limits and, to top it off, my $18.00 chicken sandwich was dry. The soups were good and so was the music coming from a nearby store.
As I said, this was a random place and it will belong to that list of places to never get back.

Margarita Grill has been a long time favorite and we decided to introduce my sister to this great Mexican Restaurant after a visit to Tanger Mall in Riverhead. When we approached Main Street we found it completely torn up for as far as the eye could see with metal chain link fences along the sidewalks. We skirted town parallel to Main Street to see if the other end was open and it wasn’t either. I called and the Grill did answer explaining that parking is available behind Main Street and that there are signs pointing drivers to parking along the way. We found parking behind Goldberg’s and walked to the restaurant.

We were greeted at the door with big smiles. The staff explained that all of the under “pinnings” of Main Street were dangerously old (gas lines, water, sewer, etc.) so they are all being replaced this winter. Once the street is done, the sidewalks will be replaced. Margarita Grill plans on staying open throughout.

MG is usually packed but not today. We picked a cozy table in the corner and ordered yummy drinks, a Blueberry Margarita and Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas. Both were refreshing and delicious. These were followed by the Grill’s incredibly delicious Coconut Shrimp (a real must if you like shrimp), Buffalo Chicken Wings and a Chicken Fajita. Everything was as good as we remembered.

Margarita Grill is well worth the minor inconvenience of parking behind Main Street. They are committed to remaining open and we’re committed to supporting them this winter.

No better than an open-air cafeteria. Mediocre food. Relatively inexpensive, if you think that over $60 (with tip) for two tacos, one glass of wine and a $3.50 glass of plain soda water is cheap. Full of flies. OK wait staff. My chicken taco was dry and tasteless. Shredded, marinated chicken, chopped lettuce and tiny bits of tasteles cheese. Sour cream would be extra.

Visited this restaurant in a large group, and we all had a great time. The food is excellent, the setting is great and the staff were really friendly.

We got a mix of taco and fajita meals and shared them between the group. All were really tasty, well cooked and the portions were plentiful.

We really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the place, and I think if we were back in the area we would probably visit again.
