Description: Quaint restaurant in downtown Westhampton, NY which we visited on a Tuesday night so we didn't see any drama from the weekend crush at many restaurants in the Hamptons. Decent food, great mussels as appetizers and as a dinner. Relaxed atmosphere in what reminds you of a formal New England inn on the inside with a couple of tables on the terrace in the front of the restaurant. Family friendly, drinks were generous as were the portion sizes. Our waiter was decent as was the busboy so the table service was very good by summer beach town standards. I would give it a 3.5 star rating if I could.

Food was pretty good, sat outside for lunch and dinner a few times. A little pricey, but that goes with the territory in WHB or other Hamptons spots.

Note, they DO NOT accept Visa/MC, AMEX or cash only. But if you need cash after you learn this the hard way, there is a Chase bank ATM right next door.

I love dining on the porch with a nice view of Main Street or sitting at the bar. The Spring Salad with Shrimp is my favorite dish here.

The special salad with lots of fresh fruits, greens and chicken is amazing. Also, the turkey hamburger filled with cranberries is wonderful.

Great lunch spot. Most diners are groups of ladies, older couples or young families.

Recommend the yummy grilled cheese with bacon, in particular, and don’t underestimate the old-school burgers (they come on an English muffin). The crab bisque special, served in a crock bowl, was a comforting way to start the meal, signaling good things to come.

The restaurant is a converted post office so it has a lot of history and structural charm. It’s a bit Victorian in a cheesy sense – doilies on the table, for instance – but how can you complain your plate arrives with a heaping pile of waffle fries on the side. Yum!

If you’re looking for a spot to sit and enjoy a nice lunch in Westhampton, this is it.

We had dinner here in early Aug with our two older kids while walking around in downtown Westhampton. This restaurant has both indoor formal and a small outdoor deck in front with a couple of tables slightly less formal table service. It has a quaint, New England-ish style to the decor. Our cocktails were generous in serving size and our portions to our meals were also good. We found that the service, while probably seasonal staff, were both polite and responsive if casual. We visited on a Tuesday nite at 6PM before the main dinner rush and certainly not the weekend. By 7:30pm when we left, every table was full and a short wait was starting. I requested Tripadvisor to list this restaurant in its Westhampton listings since it was very reasonable.

The food was very good but not super gourmet, but then again, we found the value to be very reasonable and a great deal overall. What I mean by that was that some of the dishes were very interesting (I had a Turkey Burger with stuffed cranberry sauce in it) and my son had a huge serving of mussels with a super garlic sauce flavoring that we craved dipping our bread in it. The menu starts at different burgers around $10-11 and goes up into main entree seafood and meat dishes into the mid to high $20s with an included salad which was very reasonable overall. For a family of 4 with a generous tip and tax it came to $125 with one round of cocktails for me and my wife without dessert which isn't bad by south shore pricing. We certainly found the trip worth it and would definitely return here the next time we're out this way.
