We eat here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. Wide variety of fresh seafood creatively prepared. Steamer clams, mussels and fried oysters are simply the best.
The wait staff is very attentive and friendly.
The only down side is reservations are for 6 or more.

First time visit. We know this location changes with the seasons or the wind. Now a seafood restaurant. First walking in, the covered porch looks a little like a storage area as well. The interior looks very run down, ripped booth seats dont really make you very comfortable. The restaurant prior redid it so well but it looks like this owner didnt do one thing. Menu is interesting and the food is very good. Seems a little overpriced for the portion without a salad or bread or sides. The server seemed like she couldnt handle the 6 tables and seemed very overwhelmed but was very sweet so obviously not her fault. good food, but the restaurant needs a lot of attention to gain customers in the hamptons. I hope they address it and maybe can stay longer then one season.

We were insurance adjusters to the Long Island area for the Hurricane Sandy. The day be fore we were due to go home we asked around for a good seafood restaurant, and we were sent to The Buoy One. It was wonderful the Oysters on the half shell perfect. Hugh tuna dish cooked to perfection. Octopus fra diavlo was off the chart. Highly suggest going there to eat. Staff very through and friendly. The Chef even came out to make sure everything was to our liking.

Buoy One, Westhampton, although related to Buoy One, Riverhead , is a true restaurant...as opposed to a fish market/eat-in place. Both are good...but Westhampton is nicely decorated, staffed by friendly, capable people, is comfortable, and most importantly, the food is great! There are many wonderful selections...anything done in the Thai Sauce being a personal favorite. They always have fun specials. The portions are generous, without being ridiculously huge. The prices are fair. The bartender, Ken, is great...and they have a terrific happy hour! It is so nice to have a local place that is so good, friendly, and welcoming.

started out as okay diner, one summer season later it was just okay food and lackluster service...a menu with predominately fried foods.
