“Lovely wedding, outdoor grounds beautiful!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

We attended a wedding here recently, and overall it was excellent.

The cocktail hour was outside & it was very pleasant & gorgeous. They had stations set up all along the patio area. It really was lovely to be able to walk around a little bit amongst the fabulous setting.

The reception was held indoors in the 'Manor Room' which was large & open. The uplighting added a nice additional element to the room & the dance floor was large enough to accomodate a lively, dancing crowd.

The staff was well-trained & attentive. The bartenders were friendly & impressively remebered drink orders after the 1st round -especially Brent (i think??).

The food was very good. I really like that they offer so many choices (7) for the entree. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, no complaints & almost finished plates of food are a good sign.
The viennese hour was an elaborate spread held outside in the courtyard off of the Manor Room and quite impressive.

Note - there were 2 events taking place at the same time, but really you would not have known as they expertly manage the timing of the events.

I would be happy to attend another wedding at Westbury Manor.

“I expected more”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2014

We were ther for a sweet 16 celebration. The grounds are beautiful. There were too many parties going at once and the food was just ok for me. The Cocktail hour was held outside. There were not many choices, some hors d'oeuvres but mostly fruits and cheeses.

“2013 New Year Eve's Bash to ring in 2014 in luxury!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2014

By all means this place rocks!!! From the valet parking guys/coat check ladies/masterful Maitre D/attentive servers that seem to really care about the customers and their needs...this catering place that does this NYE party every year does a "smash of a job" most enjoyable!!! There were 2 rooms that tickets were sold-Manor Room and the Garden Room. Manor Room was the larger of the 2 rooms and both had a different flavor although the food that was served were the same. Also differed was the DJ's and the selection of music. The Manor Room even had live singers/keyboard player while the Garden Room had no singers but a live percussion guy who made the DJ music come to life. Note: I think the Garden Room won in the entertainment because everyone was rocking the dance floor so much people from the other room came to check it out. They commented that it was more of a night club scene while the other room(Manor) was slightly more demured. Perhaps the crowd there were slightly older and spent more time drinking up a storm:)haha Liquor flowed thru the night and everyone enjoyed the food especially the hor doeurves that were passed around in little saucy app plates. There were hot appts and cold appts that were nicely displayed. To be honest it wasn't a spread that was for a King but luxuriously enough for the prince and princesses of the castle. Food was tasty but not as fancy as some other catering halls. Overall it was a success! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and there was plenty of food to go around. Dinnner was Filet mignon and 1/2lobster minus the claws. The steak was a bit overdone(in my taste), couldn't get medium rare...all were medium to the medium well side. In my opinion that kills a filet mignon...besides it could've been a bit more tender. Now I was really impressed with the lobster although no claws...I was expection only a lobster tail but Westbury Manor truly delivered and presented 1/2lobster on the plate...NICE touch! The scallops appetizer that came before the dinner arrived was my highlight of the evening. Perfectly seared scallop(although only one) it really wet my taste bud for dinner. Other highlights I must mention was getting a glass of champagne as we walked in to the room, the desserts were scrumpteous and the chocolate shot cups filled with your choice of liquor totally made my New Year's Eve a great memory! Thanks Westbury Manor!!! Suggestion...not a big deal but perhaps use a better champagne or allow guests to purchase a finer bottle at the table. You'll make a nice profit and the guests will enjoy something even more of a treat. Also perhaps you can just set up some TV's to watch the ball drop officially in Times Square somehwere in the 2 rooms...we are in NY you know even though it's Westbury, Long Island.

Overall this place was the best place you could have a fantastic celebration of the coming New Year...all for $135 per person. What a great deal to start the New Year right!!!
