“Buffett - Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

We went to the Sunday brunch buffet at Ayhan's in Baldwin.
Overall the food was average. A few good dishes but soem of the other foods were just OK - they were on the buffet line to long and either mushy or dried out.
The choices were also average - more chicken than anything else and a lot of veggies.
We may or may not go back in the future.
Sorry.....

“A Whole Lotta Lobster”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

Ayhhan's runs a promo for $19.95 lobster dinner with coupon from Newsday on Fridays. Where else can you go to get a lobster dinner with rice and veggies for under 20 dollars? Dinner comes with Greek salad (You can request anchovies!) bread and a yogurt-lemon and garlic dip. The lobster is the full body and very meaty. The lobsters are all female, containing the roe which is delicious. The restaurant has the feel of a sidewalk table in Mykenos, Greece or some other Mediterranean island and has native music playing in the background.

“Ayhan's mediterranean formula”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

Ayhan Hassan seems to have captured America's yen for mediterannean style food. Prices are reasonable. Decor makes you think you are in a local taverna. Food is consistent at all his locations. The place to go for America's idea of what Turkish/cypriot/greek cuisine should taste like.

“Tasty fair, Small Fish”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

FIrst let me say, we have been going to Ayhans restaurant Fish Kebab in Port Wahington for years. It has never dissappointed us. We went to the Westbury location to meet friends and it is a half way point between where we live. Everything from the salad to the main dish seemed smaller, The salad was half the size of Fish Kebabs. I always order Branzino. The fish was incredibly small. Three of us ordered the same fish and they were all small. The Branzino at Fish Kebab is more than double the size. Our friend commented as such. I must add that it was delcicous. But why such a big difference in size from their other restaurant? The prces are about the same. I ordered a side of steamed carrots. The looked like frozen carrots and their was spaggetti strands in it. I did not eat them. They did not look appetizing.
