“West Point Bus Tours”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Let me preface this by saying that seeing West Point is a thrill of a lifetime!!!

This review is directed solely to the 'support' provided by West Point Bus Tours and it should be understood that they do not represent the professionalism exhibited by Army personnel on the facility.

Unfortunately, having to see West Point from the window of an old decrepit school bus leaves a lot to be desired. The majority of the participants on the tour were senior citizens and most had major problems navigating the steps that were designed for teenagers.

Oh yes, if you decide to take one of their tours, bring cash. There are no signs saying this and it is not noted on their web page so the first time that you will encounter the situation is when you hand the agent your charge card.

The museum is a 'must see' as it has four floors of magnificent displays.

“Good historical tour”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

I came here for a week, but took the 2-hour bus tour at the beginning of the week. I'm so glad I did, because I got all the history and facts so I could understand everything. The tour guide was really good, and the whole academy is just gorgeous. The architecture is wonderful. Ate at Grant Hall and also West Point Club for lunch, both very nice. The new Thomas Jefferson library is a great facility.

“American Military History / Military. University.”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Did the two hour tour bus. Fascinating to realise that West Point is not only a military academy but a university. Not from America, but enjoy history, the facts about the progress of its students and its past students come thick and fast. In a beautiful location. You could only be inspired by being one of its students. We had a proud father, whose son is at the academy, as the tour guide. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Well worth a trip when you have finished shopping at Woodbury.

“Proud to be an American”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We recently brought visitors from British Columbia to see the USMA at West Point. It was after the spring semester had ended and there were not many cadets or people visiting, which really made it all the more remarkable to visit. It is in a gorgeous, strategic location on the Hudson, and we picnicked on the grounds along the river. There is much military history, distant past, recent, and future, at West Point - during the school year, it is extraordinary to see the cadet review/parade, and home sports, particularly football or hockey - are always exciting to attend. Enjoy patriotic as well as other music when the cadet bands are in concert - just check the website http://www.usma.edu/visiting/SitePages/Home.aspx to learn more about the many ways to enjoy a visit - and feel inspired about the future of America. Our guests were in awe!
