Historical buildings beautiful fields. Military museum. Spectacular architecture. Qaint town. Dining halls with historical portraits. Beautiful viewof the majestic Hudson River. Walk the grounds and view the sites that some of America's greatest general's did. Just be prepared to have car searched, and have I. D. IF NEEDED. This is a great military land mark, that means security is heightened here.

My family spent 12 straight hours at USMA as our son was going through his acceptance process, fondley known as A-Day. With so many things to see and tours to take the day flew by. We were standing on the same land that so many incredible people stood. Men who shaped our country. On acceptance day West Point provides buses throughout the day, There are programs that inform you of things to do and things to see. You are privy to things the public normally has no access to, such as the cadet store and Grant Hall. There is a tour of the uniform factory and West Point has it's own museum. The new Jefferson Library is like it's own museum with displays of donated class rings of cadets passed or lost in battle. The entire place screams American History so if you are ever find yourself in the Hudson Valley West Point is better than any museum, it is living, breathing history. The town of Highland Falls just outside the secured gates of USMA offers multiple bus tours.

Ye, this is the West Point. Tell you a secret, it was a good place for dating. My tour guide told me and he did so.
Visiting Date was in July 2009.

One of the jewels of the area. Security is tight, as it should be, and if youre going here for a football game, leave extra time. The stadium is small enough so you cant have a bad seat. A really enjoyable time.

A beautiful location, espcially in the peak of the autumn season, it is one of the most historically significant locations in our country. Walking the grounds and buildings where do many signficant figures in American history once lived is well worth the visit.
