Owner description: Cave Cruzer Adventure Tours is the original Whitianga Marine Adventure Tour. Our ex naval rescue vessel gives you 360 degree unimpeded views and will take you to places that other boats cannot. You will learn local history of interest and visit caves, blowholes and the Marine Reserve where you will see an abundant amount of sea life. We take you to the world famous Cathedral Cove, the beautiful set used for part of the Prince Caspian/Narnia movies. Terry, our boat skipper will enchant you with tales as he shows you Shakespeares Cliff, Cooks Blowhole, Champagne Rock and the Orua Sea Cave (NZ's 2nd biggest sea cave), to name a few. NZ fur seals can be seen frolicking in the crystal clear waters from time to time and if you are really lucky, we have a NZ Department of Conservation licence to view all Marine life in the area. Safety is paramount and we as a company are committed to providing you with the best experience in the 'Bay' on the day. We provide all customers with access to their full tour of photos (1 photo taken every 10 seconds) in video form plus any images captured via our Facebook Page at the end of the day and encourage you to share your pictures with our followers. Lastly, this area is a photographers dream!

“Not to be missed”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

We took this trip on a beautiful sunny February day. We were warmly greeted by skipper Steve, the experience was more than we expected - we were brought right up close to spectacular sights and scenery, the water was crystal clear and all the time we had that great feeling that we were in safe hands. One of our top experiences in beautiful New Zealand.

“So much fun! ”
Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

Unlike the other boats we saw, this rescue boat is the closest to the water, and has really no shelter so you feel the sun and sprinkles of water 100% plus see the beautiful sights with no obstruction. I am so happy I chose this cruise to sight see. The snorkeling was so much fun and the people are really nice and fun!

“Wonderful afternoon exploration!”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

We went out on a mild summer afternoon just a few days after Christmas, with just a spot of rain...no problem with that, slickers were readily supplied. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking as we explored Cathedral cove and a host of little inlets, caves, blow holes and islands along the coast. Steve was simply wonderful as he shared his knowledge of the area, obviously born of longstanding and intimate personal experience (funny, too!). Our two daughters went snorkeling for the first time ever, and the rest of our family thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour as well.
