Being the overflow from the Easter Break with people still on holidays we were offered a drink in the lounge bar with an adequate supply of magazines to pass the time rather quickly as it turned out.
Well worth the slight wait, very friendly staff, lovely location and importantly wonderful food. The special of the day Kingfish was very tasty, as recommended more like a fish 'steak' and well described. My wife ordered the steak which also was 'top shelf' perfectly cooked and well consumed.
Needless to say being a seafood restaurant the seafood chowder sure didn't disappoint and had a lovely smoked flavour.
If all the above wasn't enough the truffles were extremely tasty and highly recommended if you enjoy chocololate and rum and possibly a few other goodies.
If you enjoy good service, friendly but certainly not overbearing, wonderful food and a good location Squids is the go.
