“Bar Meal”

Visited here recently, not too many about due to it being their winter.
Had a nice reception from the bar staff and found the food and beer to be really nice. Good menu choice and also noticed that they had "food deals" on various nights of the week.
Coming back here on our next visit down south.

“Awful service”

We were staying at Seashells which we love and therefore had to use the bistro at Caves House for breakfast at least. One visit however spoilt that for me. I placed my order sat down and read the paper whilst waiting for my meal. I observed people who arrived after me getting their order and so after half an hour of waiting for fruit salad and toast asked what was going on after checking the waiter said that it was coming. 5 minutes later it arrived. I was furious and told him so but he came up with all the usual excuses and a very insincere "sorry". The standard of staff employed there is woeful, there is cllearly no training and so no one takes responsibility. It is a shame that there is no other convenient place when staying at Seashells or we would use it next time we go south for a break. We will comsider Smiths Beach Resort next time. Sorry Seashells!

We’re very sorry for your experience here at Caves House. We do pride ourselves on our relaxed family atmosphere and great service. We make no room for any lapse in customer service and we will be following up this matter. We are reviewing our customer service training and talking with all staff members involved.
