“The perfect romantic getaway”
Reviewed May 29, 2011

What a simply gorgeous place to get away to! We stayed at Wildwood Valley for our honeymoon, in the Honeybee Cottage. Although the cottage we were in wasn't a huge distance from the main homestay or the other cottages, it was far away enough not to hear anyone else except the sheep and birds, and it was down a hill slightly so it gave the feeling of being completely secluded. The view from the cottage is just stunning- all that can be seen is rolling paddocks right the way around the cottage, with the ocean in the distance. It's not a bad walk either, wandering through the padocks and admiring the australian rural outback.

The cottage itself was gorgeous- a perfect little setup, complete with kitchenette, tv, dvd player- even a dish washer in the kitchenette! Each cottage has it's own little BBQ outside on the verandah on which breakfast can be cooked, which was lovely. The breakfast materials supplied by the owners are brought along every 2 days and consisted of the absolute freshest ingredients- which leads me to assume that they bought the produce locally- as well as some lovely pastries and muffins also made fresh by the owners. We found there was a bit of a problem with the BBQ, however when we let the staff know about it they assured us they would get it fixed promptly. The bathroom in the Honeybee cottage is just amazing- a HUGE bath with big glass windows overlooking the paddocks below- heavanly!

We also invested in a full body exfoliation and massage during our stay. The girls came to the cottage and setup the tables inside the living area, so we could maintain the secluded, honeymoon feeling.

When we did choose to venture out, there are multitudes of restaurants and wineries close by- almost too many to choose from.

All in all this was just a wonderful visit- a perfect romantic getaway, and made for a perfect honeymoon. We only wish that we could have stayed longer! We'll definitely be coming back again :)

My husband and I stayed in Honeybee cottage for our honeymoon. We were amazed at the personal service. Nothing was a bother. The cottage was just as described. Secluded and we were left alone unless we wanted anything. We will be going back to celebrate our first anniversary and would have no problems recommending the facilities to anyone of our Family and Friends. Thanks for an amazing time.

Returned to Wildwood having stayed there six years ago and loved it. It's even better now - such a friendly welcome and a really homely atmosphere. We stayed in the main house where the breakfasts were outstanding. The husband is an Italian chef and the menu was very imaginative. We also stayed in Honeybee Cottage, set in the spacious grounds of Wildwood and with lovely views of the countryside and sea. Honeybee is the perfect hideaway spot for honeymooners or anyone else who enjoys peace and tranquillity.

Room Tip: Need to book early as Wildwood is very busy !

We had a fantastic weekend cooking Tuscan food and eating the sensational results. Sioban and Carlo are great hosts and even made making fresh pasta look easy! The bed and breakfast accommodation was very comfortable and we loved the beautiful bush setting. We would love to go again sometime with a group of family and friends.

I have just returned from a 2 night "Tuscan Cooking School" stay at Wildwood Villa, I had a girls weekend away with friends and no kids, it was just fantastic. Sioban & Carlo are such wonderful hosts they really looked after us, the Italian breakfasts are amazing. The Cooking school was fantastic we are all foodies and we learned so much from Sioban and are now making our own pasta and recreating those delicious truffle mushrooms! The Villa B & B rooms are just perfect with nice comfortable beds and homebaked cookies a nice touch. We loved sitting outside and watching the kangaroos and amazing stars. The Cooking school weekend is excellent value we felt like we had been on a trip to Tuscany without the cost and jetlag!! cant wait to go back and do another course. We also had a gorgeous dinner at Studio Bistro, went to Yallingup Beach to see the sunset and visited the winery swings & round abouts all were excellent. The accomodation is a perfect location to explore the region. A big thankyou to Sioban & Carlo.

Everyone at Wildwood, including the fellow guests, made we 'Brits' feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and being able to use the BBQ and kitchen in the evening was a bonus.
Having an evening drink outside whilst the sun was setting made me feel I was in Africa rather than Australia....but watching the Kangaroos and hearing the birds told us otherwise.
Beautifully located in relation to the beaches and the vineyards - this place was a real find.
