“Beautiful”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

I highly recommend it. It's a bit more rough than the beaches at Eagle bay and Meelup and there are more people around. Yallingup is really a beautiful town.

“Nice beach”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Smiths down the road is better, but as far as town beaches go this one is pretty darn nice! Never quite seemed right for swimming though when I've been.

“Coastal Gem of the Southwest”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

Yallingup Beach offers a quiet 'lagoon' type area protected by reef which is great for 'wallowing' in the ocean on a warm day if your not a fan of the surf. Over the years we have spent many a day here with our young children knowing they can build sandcastles and swim in safety. Only rarely have i seen waves crashing over the reef in a way that disturbs the tranquility of this little pool. But if you have older ones (or more adventurous ones) who like a bit of body boarding, there are waves just a little further up the beach for them too. There is a take away cafe up opposite the car park for snacks, drinks etc. also near the carpark there is lawn, a nice playground area with some shade and chairs to enjoy the view of the coast without having to walk down to the beach. The only downside is the walk down to the beach … or should i say, the walk back up from the beach. But once your young ones can manage the steps on their own its all great.

“Great beach, massive waves!”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

Wonderful beach. Strong waves (stronger than Bunker Bay, much much stronger than Eagle Bay). Sand isn't as white as Lucky Bay [out by Esperance]).

Waves were crashing pretty close to the shore, massive and powerful!

BTW - Don't forget sunscreen!!! No ozone!

“Love it here!”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

We spend every christmas at Yallingup and the beach is great. Directly down from main stairs is the "Lagoon" which is perfect for kids with no waves and shallow water as it is protected by reef. Further along it gets a little deeper for the adults and even further along the waves are great fun for the braver swimmers.
