After a game of Mini Golf through the lovely Botanic gardens, we chose to have a bite to eat. You actually need to walk through the cafe area after your golf to return your clubs.
With four near adult children in tow, we chose to order pizza, which is cooked in their own wood fired oven and a starter plate of cajun calamari - yum - and a bowl of hand cut chips. The chips were the nicest we have had at a cafe. The kids menu was a little more pricey than other venues, but you receive quite a large hand made burger which would be sufficient for most adults and it was tasty.
The pizza we ordered was great with the crust perfectly crispy. Menu also catered for breakfast.
Service was great, especially on such a busy day. Plenty of patrons come just for the food and coffee as this is a wonderful venue to catch up.
A selection of beers on tap and bottled cider with cool drinks available by the jug.
Very good value - $20 per person for food and drink.
After a final round of billiard golf we chose to have coffee and cake. The carrot cake was the most delectable I have had - perfectly moist - and the chocolate cake was not too sickly sweet. One serving is plenty for 2 people to share. The coffee was presented well and tasted ok. The hot chocolate lacked the usual chocolate flavour.
Seating indoors or out with heaters available for the cooler days/evenings.
Overall the staff were fabulous and very attentive.
