“Some history, secret beaches”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Older buildings although its not explained very well.

There are some "secret" beaches along the coast here which people do not frequently go to.

“Australian History, well maintained”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

This is a lovely facility and interesting if you are into history and in particular war time history. The beach below is beautiful and usually quiet. The view from the officers houses around the point is lovely. This is a nice spot but keep in mind it is a bit of a walk to town so if you like to be in amongst it all it may be better to stay closer to the shops and pop up to the barracks for a visit. I have stayed in both the dormatories (backpackers) and the houses and I would recommend both depending on what you are looking for. The dorms a great for a large group, short stay with shared kitchen and bathroom facitilites. The houses are lovely for a relaxing more civilised family or freinds group.

“Cheap”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

It's the most affordable place on Rotto and the only place you'll likely get a last minute spot in the school holidays. I also got bitten by bed bugs and the cleanliness of the place is doubtful at best.

“Good History and worth a bike ride out to it.”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Unless you are staying there, there isnt anything to do. Good for a bike ride out there to see where the military stayed. You can walk or ride around to the see the accomodation. Mostly school kids stay out there when they go on a camp.
