“The best Coral and tropical fish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2014

Launch off the rocks or walk down the beach. Coral and fish really great around the stacks and swimming south. Check at info centre as to tide times ...can only snorkel around high tide. Keep this a secret place!!

“Don't bother”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

We drove here, had a look and left straight away. Another vehicle arrived behind us and they didn't even bother getting out of the car... they just turned around and left.

“Fabulous snorkelling”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014

The reef is right at the beach at the Oyster Stacks. So you snorkel right off the beach and you are in the middle of the reef. Careful if the water is a bit rough as it is hard to get in and out of the water from the rocks

“Was too rough”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

This site is not as protected as some others and we couldn't enjoy it for fear of being bashed up against the large stacks themselves.

There were a number of fish (struggling in the current).

By contrast I had a beautiful calm snorkel at Lakeside the following morning looking at turtles, rays etc.

“Tough going on the beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2014

But once you get into the sea and snorkel about it is beautiful. Lots of turtles and reef sharks. A bit cloudy for us. Pebbles on the beach were hard work without flip flops on!
