When we arrived in Exmouth we skipped this hotel because we did not realize that it had apartments and we were looking for a place where we could cook. Since departing from Perth we had repeatedly experienced a real frustrating situation in which people pretended exorbitant prices for very low qualitiy establishments and unprofessional staff, not to mention restaurants serving mediocre foods at $150 per meal! Having run all the Western Australia coast this way we had no hope to find something better in Exmouth. Once our first rent, a depressing trailer advertised as an apartment, expired we went around and realized that Sea Breeze actually had apartments. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the apartments were large and very clean, the kitchen ultramodern, the patio outside very nice and comfortable for barbecue and dinners under the palms. The place itself had a very interesting history, for both what was in the past and for the way the owner, Axel, transformed it in the best place to stay in Exmounth. If you are looking for a place where people understand that there should be a relationship between what you pay and what they give you, Sea Breeze is that place. If I can, I will return to Exmouth and to this hotel, but this time I will fly from Perth, skipping the absurdities of Western Australia coast "tourist" industry (they are still in the robbery mood, rightly believing that once you are there you have no chance to escape).

Thank you and I am so sorry that you have been treated the way you described on your way in WA! Western Australia is a different place at the moment where the 2 speed economy opens up the widest gaps! we do struggle to compete with the mining industry and Government Departments for good staff and quality service. These big companies and our Government throws money around like there is not tomorrow negatively effecting the hospitality and service industry, Anyhow, it is therefore more important that you posted your experience to show that we are different and deliver outstanding service and quality for a reasonable price! See you back soon! All the best Axel

If you are looking for total relax, that's the right place: quiet, but just 5 minutes by car from Exmouth "downtown". A very friendly staff, big rooms with kitchen, friendly emus walking in garden, and evening barbeque for relaxing stay. Far from beach like every tourist's structure in Exmouth (you need a car).
Breakfast not very large.

Thank you for your review and yes I have to agree, the Breakfast is not our strongest point. Due to the fact that most of our people using their self contained kitchens in the morning the Breakfast is more used by the Coffee Fans! We pride ourselves with good fresh ground Espresso coffee, Late;s, Cappuccinos etc.... Glad you enjoyed our atmosphere and the uniqueness of the location, friendly staff and nice studios! All the very best and hope to see you back some time to swim with the Whale Sharks, from April to August next year! Cya Axel

Unexpected confortable rooms in a Military base! Friendly and passioned staff, lovely wildlife visiting the resort anytime. A car is indispensible to reach the best nearby beaches and the town center. Nice BBQ area available, sometime to be shared with kangaroos... :) Recommended to all people looking for a break to de-stress the city life!

Thank you and sunny regards to Italy! Yes we are in a unique spot, very quiet and very relaxing. Great that you pointed out the need for a car again! That is the reason we have a special BBC -Deal out at the moment ( Bed & Breakfast & Car ) This is the best value offer for NIngaloo Reef. All the very best and thank you for sharing this with other travelers! Ciao! Axel

As a regular visitor to Exmouth I am sad to say our recent trip was our first stay at the Sea Breeze, but be assured it will definitely not be the last. From the moment we entered reception we felt at home thanks to the very welcoming Axel and his great staff. It is the first time ever, anywhere, that we have been shown to our room and how everthing works. Our room was a good size, neat tidy and very clean, with a nice sized TV and cook tops.
The grounds have a lovely sparkling pool, and a very clean, well maintained outdoor BBQ area.
During our stay we found the resort to be nice and quiet - the walls are so thick they could handle a nuclear strike - and the regular visits from kangaroos, emus and the ever present bird life made for a perfect setting.
In our opinion the Sea Breeze offers outstanding value for money and we will certainly be back, and we have no hesitation in recommending the facilty to anyone who will listen.

The resort on the Naval Base grounds was originally accommodation for US staff. The rooms are large, clean and bright behind the plain exterior. Axel and his staff have done an amazing job making the resort welcoming and comfortable. Even the grounds are kept as green as can be with limited water and extreme summer temperatures. The local emus appreciate the water buckets too! Once inside Reception, you are greeted by Axel, Nadine and Nardia, who's knowledge of things to see and places to go is very helpful. Thanks again, Axel and your team, you make us feel very welcome each time we stay with you.

Great to see you again on your annual migration to sunny Exmouth! it is great to be reminded by you what changes and upkeep we have done year in year out! When you are living in a building you can come very easily lost in your own world and we don't notice the changes after a while any more. It certainly has changed a bit in the last 14 years! ;-))) Thank you again for staying with us and we appreciate your comment very much! Nadja is over moon and came running to me a minute ago! Thx she is such a nice lady! Nadine will be back tomorrow form her holiday in QLD! Can;t wait to hear her stories! See you next year! Kind and sunny regards Axel

Had a great stay at the Sea Breeze resort in Exmouth. We booked a family room (double plus bunk), plus a deluxe room (double). Both were large, very modern, clean and well equipped. The pool and outside seating area, with communal BBQ, and the laundry facilities, were all great. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

As the resort is outside town, it offers a free early evening shuttle run to the local restaurants and back again. We did this twice, so we could have a drink with our meal and didn't run the risk of bumping into any roos or emus on the way back in the dark.

The resort's location means that it is really close to the surrounding bush - we saw a family of emu several times just outside our bedroom window, were also visited by a dingo, and saw a few roos. When you first arrive, the location seems a little odd (right next to a naval communications station), but on the upside, it's really quiet, and is very well lit/powered. It was built to US naval standards, so the building is incredibly robust - just what you'd need to know if a hurricane was approaching!

Just around the corner (in WA terms...) is Cape Range national park. I found one of my favourite beaches of all time there at Turquoise Bay. The park has more white sand/turquoise sea type beaches than I can list here, great snorkelling, the most amazing sunsets from the lighthouse, and fantastic gorges to explore - there's a great walk along Yardie Creek which really gets you in amongst the wildlife.

Exmouth seems pretty remote - although it has one of the nicest small aiports I've ever been in. And it's a quiet/small town type of place. But it is so worth the effort. We will definitely be back, for the scenery, wildlife, and friendly welcome.

Thank you for your detailed review! Yes it is quiet! We are away from the huffle and kaffafle of the world! Too quiet sometimes. The other day I had a woman complaining to me that the sprinklers are too loud. I said if she can hear the sprinklers I take that as a compliment any day! Our resort is different as you pointed out and so are we. We love our job, love to make people happy and spend every spare minute out in the National Park and in the water. Therefore we know the conditions, can give in depth information and insure that people have a great time! Mix in a bit of our wildlife around the resort and you will certainly have a great stay. Yes you need a car and yes it looks not nice from the outside but that does not mean it is the same from the inside! Thx for sharing and see you back soon!
Kind and sunny regards
Axel

We were charmed with this unpretentious and really lovely place to stay. Axel who owns it is really helpful in advising on what to do and where to go. We had a deluxe suite which was comfortable and has everything you need including free wifi except there is no private sitting out space. There is however shared eating space outside and by the pool. You must have a car to access the wonderful Ningaloo reef in the Cape Range national park. Distances are quite big to drive to the reef But well worth it. We loved Oyster stacks and Turquoise bay( an apt description) as best snorkelling places. Whales are both seen in the sea and is the best place to eat in Exmouth which is 5 mins away by car. Prices in WA are exorbitant for European travellers so nothing is good value. But as a place to stay in Exmouth this is great

Thank you for your review and the kind words. Yes I agree, from a European point of view WA is a very expensive place to travel. It is therefore even more important to book accommodation you can trust to be of good quality and good value and don;t forget the wildlife around is for free! ;-)) I think we have found a good balance between great customer service, professionalism, cleanliness, Aussie Exmouth time and solid accommodation including all you need to have a good time. Thx for pointing out the car again, I can;t highlight is enough! Whoever is thinking of coming to Exmouth, rent a car or come with your own! Thx again and I hope that you will visit us again some time. Keep spreading the word! Cya Axel
