Stay here on your way into Cape Range NP for showers, laundry and internet. Fill up your water containers at the visitor's center across the street, provision in town and then head straight into the park to any of the primitive campsites on the beach for $7/pp/night. Ned's camp is wonderful. Ningaloo Caravan park is the only place I have stayed at where there is a fine for charging small devices (camera battery, cell phone, computer, etc) if you are not on a powered site. We were on a tent site that was next to the road and very loud throughout the night. Staff was very friendly and showers were clean. Outdoor community kitchen was ok and they did have a refrigerator that they locked at night.

Have just left the Ningaloo Caravan & Holiday Park after staying there on 2 separate occasions, each time for a week. The staff went out of their way to help and ensure the stay was enjoyable and even though we were there just going into the 'off season' and routine maintenance work was being undertaken, the staff made sure that there was no inconvenience to the park guests. The facilities were always spotlessly clean and the staff went out of their way to be friendly - even to the point of storing some of our overseas friend's luggage that was not needed whilst we went off on a trip to Karajini NP - all at no cost and with a happy smile. I would certainly recommend a visit to the park.

Room Tip: The items above that I have not rated are due to us not using the facilities - we had a powered caravan site at the Park

We travelled with a dog so were put in "The Dog Park" we had a powered site for our caravan. Half the sites were being relevelled so we got told to "Pick a site" They then made us move twice as we were in the wrong spot. The staff were very apologetic and polite. Theres not much shade in the powered sites in the dog area. Overall a nice place but liked coral bay better.

we stayed here in a deluxe private room (exactly the same as a normal private but with a TV and fridge - quite handy for storing your food in so no hassle with communal fridges in camp kitchen) for a week whilst doing some scuba diving in Exmouth. As part of the Ningaloo Caravan and Holiday park, the facilities are very good. Nice pool, clean ablution blocks - situated close to rooms - and a good kitchen area. The room was small with a glass patio door and questionable noise insulation, the guy's snoring next door was pretty loud. However, this is a backpackers at the end of the day; the bed was clean and comfy and the aircon worked well. The staff were very efficient and the location is good, an easy walk away from both town and Grace's Tavern, where we spent most evenings drinking and chatting to the super friendly staff. The backpackers was pretty empty when we stayed and it is worth noting that although a lot of websites list Exmouth as a dive location in November, in fact, a lot of the dive shops close and move operations down to Perth on November the 1st. An exception to this is whichever dive shop happens to have the licence to dive the Navy Pier (it rotates from year to year); they stay open all summer. If you are a diver and pass through Exmouth, you should find time to do the Pier dive - it is well worth the hype.

We have stayed in this caravan park on a powered site on three occasions. We travel in the off-peak season, after the whale sharks have gone and the grey nomads are heading south to escape the heat. It is a huge park and I would imagine that the peak season experience may be very different to our own. We have always found the staff, both in reception and in the grounds, to be very friendly and helpful. The ablution block is always clean and well maintained and the groundsmen do a good job keeping the place neat and tidy. The swimming pool is a good size and again is very well maintained. A minor quibble: the loungers are bolted down so you cannot move them into the shade. This can be a bit annoying, although I am sure there is a good reason for it.
The park is in a very convenient location opposite the Visitors' Centre and a short walk from the rear of the park to the town. The shops in the town are well stocked and reasonably priced, and there are plenty of places to eat as well. You can easily take a day trip into Cape Range National Park if you want to snorkel or experience the natural bush.
We always relax in this caravan park - it has a peaceful atmosphere, at least when we visit. Unlike Coral Bay,150 kms to the south, Ningaloo Caravan Park provides drinking water on site and generous sized caravan sites. It is a place we will re-visit often.
