I saw an advertisement for Simmo's Ice Creamery in the booklet at the accommodation I was staying and decided that whilst visiting the South West I needed to get myself to Simmo's. I am a great lover of ice cream and no holiday of mine would be complete without one!
The setting of the ice creamery is very beautiful and there is a nice amount of land surrounding enabling a nice walk of the grounds whilst eating the ice cream. We visited on a nice sunny day and had a little wonder over to the emu and camel in a neighboring field.
It was a little annoying that Simmo's do not take EFPOS, however they do have a cash machine inside (but of course this charges!) I would recommend arriving with some cash for payment. It is slightly annoying when companies do not take EFPOS.
There are so many different flavours to choose from and I found myself a little overwhelmed at first! I eventually managed to decide on two flavours I wanted and was served by a very friendly man. I underestimated the size of a double ice cream and it certainly exceeded any double ice cream I have had before in size. You certainly do get good value for money!
The ice cream was very delicious and I have since been raving about the White Chocolate Malteaser ice cream to all my friends back in Perth. We also spotted a smaller kiosk down by the Busselton Jetty which sells Simmo's Ice Cream and I notice from other reviews that they seem to sell it in other spots.
I would recommend visiting the actual ice creamery due to the lovey setting and a much larger variety to choose from.
