“Perfect Romantic Getaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2012

We recently stayed 3 nights at Newberry Manor for a friend's wedding, and after many trips to the Margaret River region, this B&B is a notch above the rest. We were greeted by Sally - the perfect hostess who showed us around the Manor and we were impressed with the attention to detail from the gardens to the decor in the Manor. The complimentary chocolates and port went down a treat every night, and there was a beautiful lit fire in the guest's lounge in the evening - the perfect way to unwind after a day of wine tasting. We stayed in the room upstairs and it was very homely. The bathroom was huge, and the king size bed was very comfortable. The B&B is ideally located close to the beach and shops, yet far enough away to feel like a secluded haven. If you're after a day of laziness and want to spend it in your room, there is plenty to do with a vast collection of DVD's, newspapers and books to choose from in the guest lounge. Or laze about in the spa bath with a bottle of champers! The breakfast room is gorgeous, and the food is simply divine (especially the crepes)! Sally is an amazing cook, and she can cater to your needs. It is also enjoyable to have a bit of a laugh with the other guests staying, whilst enjoying breakfast. We highly recommend this B&B to our friends and family looking to venture to the Dunsborough / Margaret River region.

We recently stayed at the charming Newberry Manor. Sally and Serge are the perfect hosts treating you as if you are old friends. The accommodation is without fault. The breakfast menu is tantalizing. It was difficult to choose from everything on offer. The food did not disappoint. We have always loved Dunsborough and will certainly return to this delightful B & B when we next return.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights while on holiday in WA. Fantastic place - bedroom large, bed very comfortable, spa bath, patio doors out to a private sitting area and lovely garden. Sally a perfect hostess - organised our whale watching trip and provided a lovely breakfast each morning. The lounge with log fire was very welcoming and the port and chocolates rounded off our evening beautifully

We're so glad you saw the whales - there are so many here all winter that you can see them everyday, even straight off the beach, but they all disappeared at the end of Nov as the hot weather swept in. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your WA trip and made it home with lots of great memories.

Just recently we discovered a beautiful B&B in Dunsborough. A five night stay at Newberry Manor certainly allowed us the relaxation my husband and I needed. From the moment we arrived until our departure, Sally (Owner) was a wonderful host. Checking with us daily to see if there was anything we needed but allowing us our privacy throughout our stay. We enjoyed waking up to a home cooked breakfast every morning and meeting up with fellow guests in the dining room. What a wonderful B&B. We highly recommend it!

What a perfect stay! We stayed in the Gardenia suite which was top class, and considering it is the smallest room in the manor - it was huge! The bathroom is very large too with a nice big bath. I loved the decor and the fresh flowers in our room. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced staying at more expensive hotels. But my biggest surprise came when I saw the breakfast menu and tried Sally's omelette and the homemade crepes - yum!!! I was so happy to find out that our room was still available for the new years eve so I booked it immediately - can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: Gardenia suite has a separate entry, so perfect if you wish some privacy

Having never stayed at a B&B before I was nervous that it would be like staying in someone's home sharing their space etc. Newberry manor was not like that, the proprietors supplied the right amount of welcome and hospitality and then left us to enjoy a private stay. Breakfast was great and Serge was delightful.

We're lucky at Newberry Manor that it was purpose-built as a B&B so the guest area is quite separate from our 'house part' which means you don't have to partake in our (sometimes chaotic!) everyday life. Although built only about 10 years ago it's designed to look much older, which is what caused us to fall in love with the house when we bought it earlier this year. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay - thanks for the review.
