We stayed overnight and were pleasantly surprised that we were upgraded to a beachfront chalet. Chalet was neat, clean, tidy and spacious with all that was needed to support a self cater stay. Grounds were neat and tidy and staff most agreeable and helpful. Would recommend to anyone. It certainly complemnts the surrounds of Port Denison. A credit to the proprietors!!!!!

Room Tip: Book a beachfront chalet.

I stayed in a one bedroom cabin for 2 nights ($85/night). The cabins are located in the most elevated part of the caravan park and has sweeping views along the coast. The cabin was like a motel/hotel room plus a microwave and some crockery, etc. it was fine, with a comfortable queen bed, small table and a chair. The ensuite bathroom had a shower, basin and toilet - compact but not too squeezy. The cabin had views between the 2 bedroom cabins to the ocean.

But the park could be so much better for people staying in the cabins. There is a nice grassed area overlooking the ocean but nowhere to sit to enjoy the view. My cabin didn't have any plastic chairs but a well placed wooden table and bench seats (or two) would have been welcome. Then you could sit, have a drink/read and enjoy the views. It's a wasted opportunity in my opinion. There are a couple of bench and tables in a brick-paved area between the one-bedroom cabins but they are in the shade most of the time and there aren't any views.

Some of the park has a bitumen road and other parts are just gravel - with no apparent rationale for what's what. The entrance is really dark at night - the nearest light is 100 metres away on the street corner. Once into the caravan park the lighting is okay.

I booked this accommodation partly based on price, location and that it offered wi-fi. But the wi-fi is really expensive - $7.00 an hour. I've just come back from 6 weeks in Italy and there i never had to pay for wi-fi. And in Bali everywhere has free wi-fi. It amazes me that Australia we get slugged a fortune for a basic service.

Some shops and a tavern are around 5 minutes walk away from the caravan park. There is easy access to the beach and some good walks in both directions.

Overall this place has potential to be great for people looking for beachside cabins. It's not there yet.

Large grassy caravan sites. Clean amenities and well maintained. This Park is on our "stay again" list. There is a large BBQ area in a cool and shady fern garden. The night we were there the BBQ area facilitated at least forty people but it was not overcrowded. There are shops not too far away and the park is right on the beach.

We stay at this park every year and we could not speak highly enough about the friendly
staff the beautiful surrounds and the sparkling clean toilets and showers. Ron and Sue
the park owners could not be more helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We would
have no trouble recommending this park to all fellow travellers.
