“Specialty candies and gourmet goods”

A nice stop in William Bay. No toffee-making was going on while we visited. We thought the prices were a bit dear. Samples were good. Cute displays and signs in the entrance way.

“Rude staff member at the Toffee Factory in Denmark”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014

Have the people complaining of the rude staff member ever taken the time to chat to this amusing and generous woman. I have visited the Toffee Factory many times over the years and always had an enjoyable experience. ALL of the staff have always been friendly and helpful. The products are all delicious, especially the ice-creams! As to the rude staff member, this amazing woman has survived major brain surgery twice and as a result her sense of tact has been a little diminished and she tends to speak a little brusquely at times. I give full kudos to her wonderful employers for looking past this and employing this lovely woman.

“Incredibly rude staff!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2014

My family and I went to visit the toffee factory in March. The woman working there was one of the rudest people I have come across in Australia. The toffee shop sells a lunch special with bratwurst, a beer and potato salad for $15. I am pregnant so obviously I wasn't able to drink the beer and the potato salad looked questionable so I asked the woman if I could just have the bratwurst. She barked at me that I could have the bratwurst, but she was still going to charge me $15! What would happen if a child wanted to eat lunch? Would you serve them the beer along with the special? Why is it so hard to just sell the bratwurst? The staff here have no business being in the customer service industry!

“Fab toffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

This is a must. I thought the toffee was going to be extremely sweet, but they were just beautiful. Loved all the samples and bought quite a lot to take home.

“A little disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

The only toffee making we saw was a man standing in front of a stove for a few minutes. One flavour of toffee was available for tasting; tiny pieces with stern signs deterring you from taking more than one morsel. This place is really all about the stuff you can buy. Our purchases ranged from peanut brittle to different flavoured toffees and a jam. Yes they are all delicious (although the Rock has aniseed in it much to the kids' disgust!). But a $5 toffee purchase contains only 3 50-cent size pieces-hugely overpriced.
