“Beautifully Stunning!!”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

My partner and I spent 3 nights in the Sanctum, what a little slice of heaven the Cove is. The Sanctum is surrounded beautiful granite rocks, trees and so many wonderful birds and wildlife. The handcrafted cabin was cozy and the pot belly fire kept it warm all night (we visited mid may). The bathroom for the Sanctum is separate from the cabin, the shower is open, one side onto a large granite rock, and open air, but it is still very much private, as long as you don’t mind the occasional little insect that may come for a visit.

We didn’t use it, but there is free access to a row boat to explore the inlet, and there are some great hiking trails around the cove.

I found in Denmark there are not many restaurants open for Dinner, we ate at the Denmark Tavern 2 of the nights. The 3rd night we made use of the cabins cooking utensils and oven and made a nice home cooked meal. There is a Super IGA in town just a few minutes’ drive from the Cove. The cabins are stocked with cooking wear, plates, mugs, glasses, a fridge, oven and microwave. All your kitchen needs away from home.

The owners of the Cove were lovely people, and very informative on Denmark and its surrounds. And the good fishing spots.

If you are looking for a relaxing retreat to really enjoy wildlife, nature and just be at peace. Or a romantic getaway for you and your partner. The cove is the place for you; you won’t be disappointed how stunning it is.

Hand crafted, cosy cabins set in jarrah and marri forest. The property borders the Wilson Inlet - a perfect place for a winter get away. There are bush walks close by and a row boat that you can take out to explore the inlet for free. The cabins are gorgeous - simple but clean with a combustion wood fire. And the owners/managers are friendly and very helpful. We'll definitely go back to the Cove again.

BE WARNED, if you stay here, you may never want to leave! Oh, I was told by the owner that 1 night wouldn’t be enough and how true . Stayed at the Karri Chalet nestled among the trees, great big fireplace for warming the place at night and just a brilliant place to get away from the sterile hotels/motels one would normally pick. It has no TV or internet connection, a phone for us but mobile coverage for Optus was poor (how good is that for isolation). Even my teenage daughter who gets bored without an internet connection just loved it. Yet, they provided a big area to walk around, a boat if we wanted to row around in and well just anything that was nature based. Drove around from there to Albany and around Denmark and found it was a great base (albeit for 1 day).
Would definitely stay here again and for a much longer time.
