Worth the walk up the many, many stairs. The views are stupendous and the lighthouse keeper knows his stuff. There is a memorial to the 'N' class destroyers there as one of them was washed over by a wave and lost some men.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, there is an an excellent cafe and lots to see even if you aren't up to climbing the lighthouse.
The lighthouse tour is really interesting - be ready for 176 steps up (and down!). The view from the top is sensational, the day I went it was SO windy adults were being blown around! Don't miss the Long John Silver cow, quite unique.
The old waterwheel is worth seeing down by the beach.
A worthwhile trip. Wheelchair access to the grounds and the cafe.

The Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is located on the most southern tip of Western Australia, a few kilometres west of the holiday town of Augusta. It sits at the junction of the Indian and Southern oceans and was constructed at the end of the 19th century. A climb to the top is well worth the experience for the more adventurous. It offers a view of the oceans, the lighthouse keepers cottages together with expansive views of the local region. Located a short walk from the lighthouse is a cottage which has been restored and now houses a small cafe and historic memorabilia and information about the lighthouse and the people who have worked there.

The view is awesome, you can see whales from up there when I've been before in winter. The weather can be windy but it just makes for a better experience. Great guide who enjoys his job it seems, and all done in stages so that most abilities could walk up and down. Definitely worth the climb.

This was a fun visit - (if you are going to see the caves too, make sure to buy the combo ticket that includes the lighthouse and the caves.). It is a unique experience to see where oceans meet and it had some beautiful views. I recommend visiting this site and bring your bathing suits to take advantage of the nearby beaches and pools formed by the shoreline. Very cool! See the lighthouse, enjoy the beach, then see Jewel cave. Save the other caves for another day. Gorgeous!
