Absolutely wonderful little restaurant tucked away in Castlemaine. Incredible food with a seasonal menu (it changes every few months) with creative, fresh and expertly cooked Thai fare. Great vegetarian options. Owners and staff are lovely. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

We had a takeaway dinner from this restaurant and enjoyed all of it. The cost was exceptionally good, and the food authentic. Waiting staff were delightful.

Yes, it's a tiny place but what it lacks in floor space is so made up for with flavour and freshness of ingredients as everything is cooked to order. Naam Pla is such a welcoming addition to the Barker Street 'foodie' strip and the gorgeous staff a highlight in these parts.
Unlike many Thai places the menu really reflects the enthusiasm and passion of the chefs to offer more than just a green curry. I was blown away by the Par Lo Mhoo Saam Chun - pork belly pieces slow braised in a dark soy, star anise and 5 spice stock and served with bok choy, picked ginger and a chilli vinegar. Yummo -that's the sort of combination that keeps the queues coming out of the door.
Open 5 days, Wednesday -Sunday (extended if there's a big event on in town) 12noon - 2.30pm and then 4pm - 9pm. The 35 inspiring dishes will have you queuing back for more.

I eat here whenever I can because it's such a fantastic place. It's the equal of bigger, more famous places in Sydney and Melbourne and it's easy to see why scores of people make the trek from Melbourne just to sample the fine cuisine.

Dropped in to get take away. Several tables have been added since the wife was last there. Staff bent over backwards to squeeze us in, as they were quite busy on a Saturday nite. Great looking menu, so we ordered multiple entrees and two mains, catering to the one vegetarian with us. The food was exceptional. Probably the best Thai food I've ever had outside of Thailand, coupled with a good wine list, Singha beer, and great service. At last, a really good place for a meal in Castlemaine. HIGHLY recommended.
