What a beautiful location! Temagami, but not the busy area. I sat out with my morning coffee and had total peace and beautiful view.

We stopped in and checked in with the very friendly and helpful owners while passing through town as we had other things to do before coming back. They are wonderful people with loads of stories :)

The 'room' was much larger than expected... like bigger than many cottages we have stayed in. I was expecting a motel room with 2 double beds, but instead, had two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom and living room.

We will certainly stay here the next time we are in Temagami! We only had one night to stay. Hoping for longer next time :)

After a tiring snowmachine ride, Doug and Marg's hospitality is what you need. Good food, interesting conversations. Place to unwind. Clean rooms, though dated, easy to relax in. Kitchen facilities available if needed.

Room tip: All rooms can accommodate 4 to 8 people

While we did not stay at Doug's resort, we did hire him to provide an evening of guided fishing while spending a week camping at Finlayson. Doug is something of a local legend. He is a fabulous story teller! He provided our family with far more than an evening of fishing. He has tremendous knowledge of hunting, fishing, and outdoor life in the area. He knows the area like the back of his hand and so we were delighted to learn more about the area from him. And boy can he clean a fish. He spent time and had tremendous patience with our 12 year old boy teaching and explaining why the cleaning was done in a certain fashion. He visited us at our campsite and arrangements were made for both an evening of fishing leaving the dock of his home business which is located a very short distance from the park. He also took our son out for some fishing in an adjacent lake by canoe. These were life forming experiences for our son. He also is a seasoned photographer and gave me lots of tips to enhance my picture taking technique. He also has tons of knowledge on provincial wild orchids and mushrooms. If you aren't familiar with the area (or even if you are) and want an awesome fishing outing, Doug is your guy! He has a tremendously infectious smile and personality. WE feel so blessed to have crossed paths with him.

Don't miss the chance to stay here for relax or just to enjoy a walk with Doug (owner) into the forest. He is a very good story teller, that loves nature: just follow him and pay attention. You have a lot to learn from his words.
Also enjoy Marg's kitchen.

Suggested reservation!

Place could do with updating BUT it was very clean. This place was fantastic for us. Right on the lake shore with an amazing view. Doug and Marge are lovely. Doug has brilliant stories to tell and is a mind of information. He took us out on a trail and it was brilliant. He even took us to see bears !!!!!!!. Marge cooked a beautiful breakfast that filled us up for the day.
