“On a sunny day you really could be in the Carribean”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

This long beach is made up of millions of finey crushed shells and it's possible to find some beautiful small shells & stones. The water is crystal clear and was surprisingly pleasant at the beginning of September.

“Paradise Found”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

We paddled across to Herm in sea kayaks from Guernsey, landing on Shell Beach. It must be one of the most beautiful coastal locations in the world. An ideal place to relax and unwind with a small cafe to meet the catering needs of the visitor. There are toilets a few minutes walk to the south on the way to Belvoir Bay. If time allows it is well worth walking north along the beach and looking towards the delightful archipelago known as The Humps. Herm is a beautiful island, well worth a visit, and Shell Beach is the icing on the cake.

“Long sandy beach with sea shell - wonderful swimming at high tide. But Belvoir is even better and worth the extra walk.”

I love swimming at Belvoir or Shell Beach at high tide, and walking to the far end at low tide. There are lots of pools to investigate.

The peace and quiet of Herm with particularly the lovely sandy and safe Shell beach and it's refreshment kiosk. No dislikes

“The walk around Herm is georgeous. I'd move there if I could!”

Nothing there was a dislike. We went to a lovely church service. The beaches were clean. Walks picturesque. Puffins sited. Food excellent. Nothing I didn't like!
