This review machanism doesn't allow the sort of report I want to offer -
We have been visiting the Isles of Scilly for many years and found Santamana when it had just opened, we have been nearly every year since. It is a beautiful house with lovely rooms with wonderful views in quiet elevated location (with a short steep access drive !!).
The hosts are a delightful family with all the local connections and knowledge to interest, fascinate, guide and help you find & make the best use of all that Scilly can offer. All the little details that make a nice holiday into a delightful relaxing experience are quietly attended to - breakfast is to die for or less as you wish, no pressure on daily timing of commings/goings, helpful attitude to bad weather days, travel concerns etc., etc.
We have always loved the Isles of Scilly but our pleasure in visiting is greatly increased by seeing Sonia, James and family who fill us in on all the local news & activities.
My wife & I now take friends & have recommended to Santamana to other friends, all have been as delighted as we have been.
