Visited at lunch time for drinks and returned for the fish and chips in the evening. We found all our drinks good and the food excellent, topped off by a great piece of brownie for afters. It's a shame the whole experience was slightly marred by being moved from the window seat to free up the table for others. Which happened to be 3 locals that could easily have sat at our table that sat 3. This, and the nonchalant lunch time service led us not to return again. We found better care, elsewhere on the island.

Following a great walk we came across Fraggle Rock where we stopped for cold drinks and sandwiches. The sandwiches were superb, plenty of filling and very fresh bread - delicious. We sat outside and watched the world go by. Great location and seconds from a beach.

We visited 3 times for lunch, the food local and fresh, burgers in particular are good, the sandwich bread is great with very generous fillings, we tried, plain ham, chicken and bacon and egg mayo, all fantastic.
Easy to find just ask anyone. a must if you are visiting the Island of Bryer.

Lunch on Saturday 20 July was to the usual high standard despite being very busy on a fine day. Can't add much to earlier eulogies for the crab sandwiches that my wife and I enjoyed, or the burgers - this being one of the few places other than our own butcher we trust to serve them for our kids. We visit two or three times a year and have never had a bad experience, but reading the last review, it's worth saying the service standard is "order at bar (upstairs)/ take own drinks, food delivered to table" - essentially a bar, which is what it calls itself, not a full restaurant. Tremendous casual holiday dining, tyre swing and sometimes out of season an old bike or two lying around to keep children happy. We never miss when over here and you shouldn't either.

Group of 8 of us, got there early - 12 noon lunch service starts - can safely say the best burger I have had in a LONG time. Deep, meaty interspersed with a generous helping of red onion for seasoning in a nice soft brioche style bap. Other members of the group not having burgers had the crab sandwich which was overloaded with fresh crab meat, hearty cheese and ham ploughmans and all served on white and blue rimmed enamel plates and bowls - just lovely!
