Wonderful little spot. It's tucked away and is accordingly laid back in every aspect. Happily, this applies to the friendly staff and the portion sizes. The crab sandwiches are comfortably the best that I've had - ever. And I grew up in Anapolis. They are worth the trip to the Scillies alone. Have a portion of prawns beforehand to ready yourself - natural and delicious!!!

Situated on the island of Bryher, one of the inhabited islands in the Scillies, almost the most westerly point in England sits Fraggle Rock cafe/restaurant. I recommend this for a lunch time treat - the food is always fabulous, and the fact that you are in paradise helps. The crab sandwich is sublime and always make a point of visiting when holidaying here. It is well worth the visit, if not only for the food and local ales, then to take in the fabulous views!!

We were wandering slowly around Bryher and decided to call in here for a lunchtime snack. Although the thought of eating outside appealed we noticed there were several tame birds hovering around, so we went upstairs and took a table by the window to gaze over the water to Tresco. The lunch menu was extensive but we chose the ham sandwich - it was full to the brim with lovely Cornish ham and mustard and came with real crisps and a very tasty rocket garnish. They serve a good selection of drinks including real ale and proper coffee. They have nightly specials and are sensibly priced. WE would have to say that Fraggle Rock is a must visit place for food when you are wandering around Bryher. It's clean and the staff are friendly and the service efficient.

Well cooked food and friendly service. Dining experience let down by limited wine choice- tasted all 3 whites available and none were palatable! Shame, because would have liked to buy a bottle to share with dinner. Chose merlot and was musty so ended up with glass of prosecco which was ok. Beer good. Relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely place for a snack lunch, the ploughmans is enourmous with really good portions of delicious cheese. Lovely views and the sparrows are the cheekiest on Scilly, swooping across the top of the sandwich to take a piece and even flying off with a chip!
